I think VB does have some type of silica in it and its not that they are secretive about ingredients but rather that its almost impossible to meet state labeling laws without paying STACKS of money and even that is not a guarantee they will approve it.Every company has to deal with these bizzare laws so rarely do they list the actual ingredients or what there purpose is.

I started using this stuff a couple years ago, I'm a small grower so a lb lasts me a couple of grows. When I ran out I didn't reorder and just started using Dyna Gro, after reading this and the other thread about HR I decided to order some more for the grow I'm getting ready to start. The first time I ordered from HR I had no problems getting email answers to my questions and my order arrived in 3-4 days. This time it seems things have changed, I've emailed them 4 times and received 1 reply which took 4 days and didn't address the question I had asked. I knew the product was good so I went ahead and put in my order, I got a confirmation email the next day, then a day later I got another email saying my order had shipped, the problem is, the address they had was incomplete (it was correct in the email confirming my order and payment, but wrong in the shipping confirmation email), my phone number was also completely wrong. If they ship to the address that is in the email, it will be very lucky if I get it. I tried emailing them to explain the problem, that was 2 days ago and no response. I tried calling and never managed to get a human on the line. I really like the product, but customer support is basically non-existent.

damn, that really sucks. I know the guys are in the middle of moving into a new facility, as far as I know there are only a handful of people working at HR and they get swamped with questions pretty easy - they usually stay very available and have great communication with customers but I can see where they would be behind at times.

have you tried getting in touch with them on instagram? They update there pretty frequently.

No I haven't, actually never used instagram in my life, lol. I guess I'll find out in a few days if it makes it to me. It looks like they use an outside shipping service, that could be where the problem came from since the order confirmation had the correct addy and the shipping confirmation had it wrong. They had "some" of the address correct, but the part they left out will make it unlikely that the order will make it to me.

I'm sure Chris will make things right. Like WeSolidarity said, they are definitely going through some growing pains right now. They have literally BLOWN up in the last year. I'm sure once they get moved and settled in a bit the customer service that they used to have will reappear.

I'm not worried that I won't get it or anything, it's just a lot different experience than I had a couple years ago. I really liked it when I ran it before, it was pretty new then and wasn't much info on it, they didn't have the HD then and the +size had just came out (I didn't try it, but did order some this time), I ran straight V+B and the +life. This time I'm going with the HD, +size, and +life.

Just want to report that my order arrived today! Luckily I live in a very rural area where everyone knows everyone else, they got it to me just because they knew my name. I did get an email today, but it wasn't from HR, it was from the company they use to ship. Now to get some beans popped!

I picked up some +size this time, but didn't get the push. I see on the +size it is also used as foilar spray, has anyone tried this, and how did it work?

I too have had a customer service issues with them too.
I've sent many a email but NEVERget a answer.
If I didn't like their product so much I'd be pissed and switch....
Hopefully it's correctable growing pains...

I really think it's due to them moving. I had very good communications with them 2yrs ago. It is something they need to fix though, I've yet to get a response to any email to HR, I did finally get replies to the emails about my order, but HR farms that out to a 3rd party.

Hey guys - So I just got my order of VB Dirty, Push and Shine. I'll be growing in soil, just a few small plants, and the shine says "DO NOT premix solution in less than a 5 gallon volume." What's that about? I only feed 2-3 gallons of water at a time, and I'm hand watering using 1 gallon containers...

Don't use shine
But I would think it is easier to mix 5 gallons??
I'd personally figger out the amount per gallon and make a gallon or two.
Don't keep excess
Toss any leftovers

With all V+B nutrients. Do not add until final volume of water.
Shine is 1 gram per gallon. Fill a gallon of water add a gram of Shine then your v+b

Gotcha...but why would they say not to mix it in less than 5 gallons of water if it's perfectly OK to mix in 1 gallon? Just seems like they must have a scientific reason for it...they put it in capital letters on the label, gotta be a better reason other than it's easier to mix in larger amounts of water.

From my understanding it is meant for growers using large reservoirs.
Some people in the past would dump the powders in the res without water and found out that it doesn't mix well.
