1 gallon or 50 gallons. The measured amount is 1 gram per gallon of water.
The ec will be the same at 1 gallon or measured for 50 gallons if measured at 1 gram per gallon.

With 1 gallon containers. Fill it full of water.
Ad 1 gram Shine then mix well.
Then add 4-6 grams of Dirty. Shake well.
Then ph if desired.
You could get a 5 gallon bucket and make a small batch.
It will be fine for a day to not be circulating. Just stir before using.

Cool man! If I did want to mix up a batch in a 5 gallon bucket would it be OK to leave for a week as long as I have an air pump going in the bucket?

@Smokey503ski
Thanks for the knowledge bomb!!
Man I love to learning something new!!!
It does make sense to not just dump into rezzy......

well said, that's a killer routine right there, +life in there every few feeds too at 1g per gal

I recommend a small pump circulating 24/7 over a air pump.

As you know I switched to EH for blooming. I ran into 1.0 pH drift/24 hours. Communicating with them, turns out the culprit is the air stones, which are made from calcium carbonate. They too recommend a small recirc pump over stones. Questions: what about the heat, and can small pumps handle 24/7?

maybe buy bubblehose or recirc pump on cycle timer

I run a 400 gph pump running 24/7 circulating in my reservoir. 30 gallon trash cans. Doesn't get hot at all or much of a temp swing.

I'm a small closet grower. 4 individual rezes < @ 2g . Still, I have a couple small pumps, will experiment soon.

I can probably reduce 2 into one, but beyond that...

I think it's 1 per 10g, @ill eagle ... minor point, just trying to clarify. Doesn't take much. Probably a typo. I know you're the v+b leader/pioneer
:)

No worries, it was a typ0, actually I use it at 1g per 5 gal. :)
Right on. Yeah I rock the 1 per 10 but I see no reason not to up that.

Do you flume it in a reservoir with a circulating pump?

Always. The pump warms up the Rez a little too which I think helps keep the medium a nice temp too
