Yes that would be just fine.. Personally i have a glass dish i use i set that on the presto and blast into that.. no hot water needed or even wanted for me.

Then i move that dish inside my stainless steel pot and put that on the griddle.. tho yer method would be alot faster :D

Interesting....Maybe find one that is a bit bigger. 1.75qt seems like it would be a tad small even for my small extractions. Everything I make is for personal use. I think I remember seeing a 1 gallonish version some where.

Yeah thats kinda why i went with stainless steel pot and just used my pyrex to blast into needed something a tad bigger.

Just thought about something....if you had a pressure cooker could it be used as a vacuum chamber?? It has a pressure inlet/outlet on the lid and seals in the same manner as a vac chamber.

My first vac chamber was a modified pressure cooker

That one looks good.. as far as PC.. I wouldn't trust the gasket or valves to hold a proper seal...

Good info to know! Thanks little for pointing that out. Research continues... :arghh:

Guess ill just stick to the boomers with the PC :)

Just go to walmart get some teflo
Anybody ever used something like this? I am just trying to think of a way that I could blast into something that would collect EVERY spec of oil.

Those are 75 Micron your butane would run right thru the screen....
Just go to walmart and get some teflon pans they come in all sorts of sizes and are solvent safe and make sure to scrape with hdpe plastic scraper

Teflon huh? I would have thought for sure the solvent would remove the Teflon coating.

This is the one to have!! To bad I don't the 700 to blow on it!!

As long as you dont scrape with anything that'll scratch the surface its safe teflon IS SOLVENT SAFE thats why I use plastic scrapers

Go for it bro.. Ive ran oil slick products before they all degrade after coming into contact with butane..

Im not saying you are wrong man....just wanted your thoughts on the matter. :) how bad is the degradation after a single use?
