My first vac chamber was a modified pressure cookerJust thought about something....if you had a pressure cooker could it be used as a vacuum chamber?? It has a pressure inlet/outlet on the lid and seals in the same manner as a vac chamber.
Very true, that was long before I got a 5gal with a 1" lid and a yellow jacket pumpThat one looks good.. as far as PC.. I wouldn't trust the gasket or valves to hold a proper seal...
Anybody ever used something like this? I am just trying to think of a way that I could blast into something that would collect EVERY spec of oil.

Just go to walmart and get some teflon pans they come in all sorts of sizes and are solvent safe and make sure to scrape with hdpe plastic scraperThose are 75 Micron your butane would run right thru the screen....
As long as you dont scrape with anything that'll scratch the surface its safe teflon IS SOLVENT SAFE thats why I use plastic scrapersTeflon huh? I would have thought for sure the solvent would remove the Teflon coating.
noooooooooooo!! Blow into a Glass pyrex first purge most of the butane off then move the pyrex to the pot and vac more then scrape transfer to parchment and finish the vac.
NEVER blow butane into silicone!!
You say never, this artical says otherwise.....thoughts?? apparently OilSlick makes a mat now that is non-polar resistant.

Go for it bro.. Ive ran oil slick products before they all degrade after coming into contact with butane..
