Good Day All,

Saw the thread and thought I would say hello. Central Virginian. I am a inside grower into my 11th grow now and still feel like a novice. I was lucky with my last harvest of (4) Gorilla Cookies Auto by Fastbuds with 31.5 oz's total in a 4X4.

Today I am in to day 21 (Day 7 of veg) on a 10 week feminized photoperiod (Gorilla Glue by Crop King Seeds).

Also if you get a chance take a look at my earlier thread today and comment. The post is about four stems on first node but no one seemed to notice or its a lot more common than I thought.

Good luck fellow Viginians

I think you are looking more at the main line technique, seems like a perfect candidate looking at your picture. I have a friend who does this religously, and he usually tops at the 5th or 6th node. He generally avg. 1/4lb per plant

I had totally missed the quad branching...sorry, that is pretty cool!!!
I have never had that happen.
Im sure if isolated, a technique for topping after the first node would be of value to those genetics.
Do you have any plans to try to isolate the quads?
There are so many rabbit holes we could go down on this subject.
Oh, by the way, impressive harvest weight!

Northern Virginia, DC metro area here. I'm starting a new indoor grow with Humbolt's Blueberry Pancakes. I grew a small plant of this (started late) outside and harvested a month ago. It has a very sweet aroma so I'd like to get more of that and tend it in a controlled environment. I had some issues getting these seeds to sprout. They germinate find in a glass of water but when I've put them in the soil a couple times nothing came up. A friend of mine loaned me his heat mat so I planted these germinated seeds in peat pots on the mat set to 78f and that worked out good for both seeds.

I've got two 7 gallon fabric pots in a 2x4, SF2000, with Build-a-Soil 3.0, reused from last grow with added BAS Craft Blend, a cup of mushroom compost and some volcanic gravel. Right now I water once a week with a gallon of rain water slowly added to each pot which makes a little runoff.

My basement lung room is 70f and I was pondering getting a tent heater but then it occurred to me to just shut off the inline fan so I did that and I left open a bottom vent and opened a top vent just a little and now it's like a jungle in there. Warm and humid during lights on, cooler when dark. Two USB circulation fans going too. Problem solved, (until they start to stink).

I'm hoping the upcoming election goes in a more cannabis friendly direction and we can get a legal marketplace in Virginia. It would be nice to drive down the street and get seeds, clones and bud if needed without the man entitled to lock us up. Buying cannabis should be just like buying liquor. It doesn't matter if I leave the ABC store with a case of whiskey, why should it matter if I leave the ABC/Cannabis store with a pound of buds?

Also, here is a pic of the last of the serrano peppers from my garden, They seem to have stopped ripening so I harvested the green ones that were left. Also still getting some tomatoes from the vines.

Happy winter growing Virginia!

Great point Budtirement. Everyone in VA who wants recreational cannabis sales ( legal and regulated anyway) needs to get to the polls this Tuesday and vote Democrat for our new governor. I'm not a very political person and the way the right and left fight and bicker back and forth instead of actually governing really irritates me. If democrats win we will have recreational sales next year, if Republicans win who knows. It doesn't really matter to me because I grow but people who don't or can't grow should have access to a safe product also. As someone who grew up in Virginia in the 70s and 80s it's amazing to me how much the laws have changed. Back then getting caught with a bag was a big deal and a plant would get you serious jail time. We've come a long way but still a little farther to go so everyone go vote Democrat Tuesday. Okay I'll get off my soapbox and leave with some pics from my outdoor grow this year. Hope everyone had a good harvest .

Anyone planning a winter grow?
I usually do, despite the frequent power outtages, and insane electric bills. I probably will do something.
I still have two plants that refuse to finish. I've got milky white tricomes with a few ambers...but not enough to call it.

Just starting week 5 of flower Gorilla Glue Fem Photoperiods. I usually do 2 runs a year. One that finishes in December and another that starts as soon as that one is finished to take advantage of the heat produced by the growlight, and two dehumidifers to assist house heat.

As far as outages, I have an emergency light that does not help plant grow but (in my mind) keeps plants from freaking out (1.5 hours) until I can get generator up and running.

And today I am expecting delivery of my new AC Infinity Ionframe Evo 8 to replace my 480 watt Marshydro TS3000!!!

That's a nice looking canopy!!
I'm sure you are going to love the new light!
I'm running two farmlights, one 230, one 360. I can't say anything bad about them...but, I still miss my hps.

Absolutely, if I don't have some kind of grow going year round I get ETS( empty tent syndrome). Have 2 2×4 tents going now, 1 with 3 Chemdog D × Okie on day 50 of flower, and 1 with 2 purple ghost candy and 1 Blackberry Moonrocks just transplanted yesterday. Also have already got around 225 gallons of living soil reamended and piled up outside to cook all winter for next year's outdoor grow. Looking forward to spring already.

I'm getting ready to do a really deep dive into living soil, I still have a lot of reading I want to do before sharing anything, but I will be creating something in that field soon! I look forward to seeing your journey as well! That Chemdog D x Okie is looking great! Wish we had smellavision!

Update on Blueberry Pancakes scrog at week 8. Growth is slow since the temps are between 65f and 73f but it is filling in the screen pretty well and lots of tops.
It turned out that the arraignment I tried with the inline fan off and the vents open that raised the temps had a VPD in the .4 to .6 range so I went back to keeping the inline fan on low so the temps have been low but with low humidity the VPD is close to 1.

Note to self for next time I should start with the pots out on each side. Then everything can grow to the center where the PPFD is strongest. Go Virginia wintertime growing!

Hey there F1, What were the results of that Maui x pine tar kush F2? It was looking awesome.
