Mimosa Cake Auto by FastBuds
I have everything jarred with a total yield of 526 grams (18.78 oz). On this grow I had two bad phenotypes that were not great producers and had lots of pistils so trimming was a bi$@h. It was still 44 grams better than the last time I ran these in 2024.

Looks like a very nice harvest MercDod. I know that's a great feeling having it in the jars and after nurturing it for so long. Enjoy!

Spent all day today mixing dirt, fan maintenance, cleaning and dropped (5) "Banana Purple Punch RF3" by FastBuds into the old shotglass. I was planning on taking three to four mts off from growing, but hard to keep my stash from running low for that long.

Spent all day planting the garden outside...I found out there are some risks to tilling in trimmings from a seed run! I was like....what are you doing here?

There ended up being 5 of them...I left that one should I call it between the beans? Lol!
On a more serious note, im going to start my flushing next week. Im going to be using a product called "Cake" by Crop salt nutrients. Does anyone have any experience with this product? I am interested in seing the results.
Had to defoliate again, whole shoe box of sucker leaves...I think I like this method. It has been very hard letting go of my purist beliefs to try all of this.
I mayblook deeper into organic nutrients for hydro and try that at some point, I have a couple of grow diaries I have to complete for eighth brother before that tho.
Anyways, hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Off to a good start for the summer in Alexandria. Started these 4 Puna Buddaz in my tent in April.
Now 2 have moved out to the garden

and two are getting scrogged in the tent.

My neighborhood has a lot of Ailanthus, Tree of Heaven. Terrible invasive trees that grow and spread almost as bad as bamboo and support various nasty pests. Now the Spotted Lantern Fly nymphs have infested the grape vine. They will suck all the juice out of it if they can. I've been squishing them by the hundreds but every morning there's more. Hope they are disinterested in cannabis.

I’ve been looking for VA-specific info and noticed that they were scattered all over the site. Thought it might be easier to have one thread that gathers everything for Virginia.
The purpose of this thread is to unite Virginia growers so we can all share our experiences, tips, tricks, recipes, etc., and keep the Virginia marijuana community growing.

I’ll start it off.
Total newbie to growing (and even to gardening).
First grow. Growing two plants outdoors. Don't have an indoor setup.
Even though I've done something wrong at nearly every stage, my plants appear to be doing fairly well.
They're not ready to harvest yet, but guessing in the next 2-4 weeks?
But, the weather is quickly cooling off with lots of rain.
It's in the 50's today.
How much do I need to worry about possible negative effects caused by the weather?
I keep hearing about bud rot, etc.
What can I (should I) do to take these two plants across the finish line?

Hope there’s some interest in a VA thread.
Thanks!!

Sorry to hear that. We do get the humidity in Va tho don't we.

I had spots on the buds last year. When I investigated there were little caterpillars so I did an emergency harvest and salvaged about 50% on that plant.
This year I've got Lost Coast Plant Therapy to try. It says it is very versatile and negates several insects and molds so I'm hoping I can defeat that kind of issue if it turns up this year.

Outdoors, these are my main worries. I’m in some mountains and that helps but this is my first grow ever anywhere. I’m using neem oil but should look up Lost Coast. Y’all are fantastic Virginians for sure!

I have a grower friend near Staunton and she has had wonderful grows year after year up there so I think your in a good place compared to me.
What I learned is that if you get caterpillars you'll want a Bt product. Neem oil and Lost Coast are both oil products which may work well on powdery mildew and some critter species, but not caterpillars. You have to read the labels and know what pest your up against. Don't spray oil products in the heat of the day, use in the cool morning. Inspect your plants closely as often as you can. Bring a plastic bag with you so you can get rid of pests or leaf fronds that have egg casings or whatever on them and isolate them.
My experience was that the first year I planted outdoors my plants got a free pass because the pests hadn't found them yet. That was my best year. Every year since then I've had caterpillars and sometimes mold on the buds in the fall.
Your starts are looking healthy. Good to see.

Both of your grows look very good!!! Best of luck with them! I may take a break this summer, and refrain from an outdoor crop...but I could change my mind...undecided here.

Good luck with that, lol. Smoking weed is not as addictive as growing it.

Hi guys
I've never made it myself but baccy tea is meant to be a great insecticide and chemical and money free.
Save up a few dozen dog ends and leave them soaking in a litre or two of water.
After a week pour it through a sieve or some old fabric and put it in a spray bottle.

Dang! They were looking good! You won't let that happen again I bet. I almost lost my first grow to nutrient lockout. A fellow grower helped me out thankfully. No bud rot, PM, or mite issues for me YET. I only have 4 grows under my belt, so I'm still green myself, and am sure to encounter those wonderful surprises at some point (knock on wood).
A friend of mine told me that the plant will tell you everything it wants, and if you're doing something wrong....just learn how to listen.
I'm trying, but some days I think I need a hearing aid...lol.

Also never bring plants from outdoors to a indoor grow you will be inviting mites as they thrive indoors and are always on your plants outdoors just they have other predators and the weather outdoors prevents them from getting out of hand
