We all send our prayers and hope to all you folks in the NE states who got the blunt of hurricane. It's a helpless feeling watching and unable to help those cut off. It felt like this to me when the forest fires raged not far from my old homestead. Just looked from a distance as homes got destroyed. I wish the WH would quit spending money outside the USA on wars and just keep investesing on our country needs.I have a friend in Staunton, Virginia, I gave her 2 starter plants last May and we went down to check out a music event there this past weekend. Her plants have done pretty nicely, about 5 feet tall and full with nice colas but unfortunately the morning we got there and went to look at them, the hurricane remnants of Debby had hit overnight and toppled both plants to the ground. She got them staked up again and then there's hurricane Helene coming up. Tuff season for growing cannabis in the mid-Atlantic region this year.
My own garden is still producing tomatoes and peppers but the tomatoes are all splitting from so much rain. The cannabis. I can't decide if I should cut down the outdoor cannabis and get some kind of harvest or wait it out and see if it will mature properly with hardly any sunshine to speak of. The colas are about half the size I expect but the pistils are all brown now so I cut half a dozen colas and put them in a space to dry and I left the rest out there to the whims of mother nature. I have my fingers crossed that the sun will come out tomorrow, like the little red head sings, and get these colas on track. At this moment I'm glad I have an indoor grow too because that might be the bigger producer this season.

Dude that's awesome. I'm gonna start some Mephisto seeds soon your right great sales and freebies happening. I've got some of there Mango Sorbet coming. I do indoor and outdoor also, i'm in Oregon. These will be for indoor now of course. Good luck on your grows in 2025So many good deals on seeds right now! Between the discounts and freebies, it may well be an outstanding year.
Going with autoflowers for outside this year. Got some creme de la chem from mephisto. Hope it's good. I primarily grow indoors, and last year was my first outside attempt. That rain in late September early October, the catapillers, spider mites, botrytis. I now see i was a newborn baby in a new land last year. Autoflowers and mold/mildew/pest resistant strains are in the battle plan this year. I also learned the very important lesson about not wearing the same clothes to your indoor grow that you were in when messing with the outdoor plants.
Hope 2025 is a good year for everyone. I hope everyone is blessed with money in the bank, and plants that stank!
SW VA here.Va grower here !!! DC metro area.
Anyone else?
one more in the DC Metro area. The summer just passed was challenging but usually the area is nice for growing outside. Right now my winter grow is starting it's stretch.Va grower here !!! DC metro area.
Here I am 5 weeks later putting on some flower. The Blue Dream in the center in the picture above, I was trying to reverse but it didn't take so I tossed that one. The remaining 2 are Blue Haze.Right now my winter grow is starting it's stretch.
I can dig it. The first time I grew outside I had a trim party for pounds of weed. Blisters and the lessons learned. But I did give away ounces to everyone who helped. We had a good time. That was fun.How you all trim 4 or more plants blows my mind. Trimming one is too much work for me,
What’s up yall! Representing Norfolk here. Chopped my first grow on Thursday View attachment 2373486View attachment 2373488View attachment 2373487View attachment 2373489View attachment 2373485
I will not be able to participate in the outdoor grow season due to work but I wish all the best to those who are.
Haha thanks!!You have some skills with a camera ! Lovely pics ! (I never say lovely, first time, think I like it)
No, it's not an outdoors only thread. Hey, post an update on the nl x c99. I picked up a tester pack of those and heka strain. I used to enjoy both nl and c99 back in the day. I also have some seeds from romulan genetics I'm looking forward to as well.Is this an outdoor growers forum only? I’m in N Va and grow one plant at a time… one plant provides me more weed than I can ever smoke, I get to enjoy all the fun of growing without having to grow multiple plants. Planning to grow Brothers Grimm Northern Lights x C99 next, diary to come soon
