Thanks for a Lil explanation...... I'm still getting a chiller tho. Are you familiar with a recirculating water farm is? 8 bucket... Made by GH.? That's what I need to cool...

Each bucket holds about 2 1/2 gal... 8 growing buckets and a control bucket and res which sits outside tent.

What is your method of growing.. I need to find the rdwc growers thread :)
The only such thread that I seen was the current culture. I don't think my Lil setup will get much attention in that thread unfortunately. Most the ppl I talk to on here grow in coco...

There was a post earlier that said the temp of the resivor (sp) controlled the rooms dew point and would affect humidity.
I think the temp you set on your chiller is how you set humidity. This is more than just water running through pipes.

Ahhh, a cold floor. That is clutch. Mine is at 65.3 right now, want to bump it up to 66.5. Found a $600+ chiller on craigslist last weekend and scooped for $64. I lucked out

I wss expe ting to read about using ice eater to ester your plants the last few days of flower to add essential oil production. I almost fell asleep reading this thread. I have slot of new things to try thos batcch when it comes to essential oil production

Gonna bring this back from the d e a d vs starting a new thread.

I have a 2.5g cloner I want to mod and use a water chiller to keep water temps under 78*. I only need to drop 3-4* at most.

I have no problems acquiring any fittings, piping, etc.

Thoughts

I set up my aero cloner to recirculate water through a chiller .it took them forever to root.i think the warmer the water the better for cuts.
Made me look into pool shock and after that everything went perfect.

I have a strain that's a temp bish. 1 of 18 I run have this issue. Aside from just putting them on my cold basement floor last night, chilling the water is needed.

If I didn't like this strain, I would never even bother.

Just a bullhead fitting in the bottom with the water sucking out going through a chiller,than a return line back to the tank.or you can use ice bottles if you have the time to sit around and babysit them.

My buddy has a spare minute timer thing. I'll try that before dishing out 300 for a chiller. 1 on, 4 off 24/7.

Could hook it up to a radiator and have a fan blow air through it.circulate it through the cloner

I know this thread is years old but I just wanted to say that Google Sketch Up as someone mentioned earlier is complete garbage. If you want decent 3d drawing software get SolidWorks.

Timer set as best as I could get it.
52 seconds in, 4:55 seconds off. In the one cloner I swapped the new pump 8n, water temps are 77.1*. In my other 2 with old pumps, 81.1*. I'll solve swapping out all my old pumps as well today.
