Gettin 4k for Sage-n-Sour, more power to ya, I couldn't give that shit away around here no matter how dank it was..$1900.00 a month in overhead I think he said on his home grow, so he got $4k for something that cost him $3600 to produce..no wonder he feels like a full time farmer, he is definately doin it all wrong

I also like how the state mandated that they run the despensaries as a non profit and then can not figure out why there isn't any money sittin around..lol....hey dunbasses, non profits can not have any retained earnings, meaning all profit gets spent every year..how the hell is a despensary goin to pay past due amounts with no money....that is why the IRS waited a couple of years because by design the despnsaries are not goin to be able to pay up...pretty sweet little scheme IMO. Just keep in ind that the three guys at the top, Dress and the DeAngelo brothers are puttin millions in their pockets, make no mistake, they are allowed to be compensated at a rate similar to other health related businesses that pull in 25-30 million a year, they probably clear closed to 3-4 million a peice when its all said and done with not including expensing the shit out of all your regular fun activities...gotta love non profits

I wonder what they actually bill out all those free services and community outreach efforts at, my guess is that your free 15 minute massage is gettin billed out at around $200 per against eventual profits...people should really research non profits and how they actually work, it is a very elaborate tax scheme, nothing else..it cracks me up that people still get such a warm fuzzy feeling about the words "non-profit" and think they are somehow dealing with some benevolant church or rightous group of folks because they toss the word non profit around....I mean the Salvation Army operates as a non profit and .86 cents of every dollar donated goes to administation expenses and salaries but what a great bunch of folks, they are a non profit...lol

If municipalities didn't want to do away with despensaries, they sure will now....

The bud tender had crappy looking brown pot he was trimming. It looked moldy.

The guy John that grew the nice looking SourSage was the most normal person. For class AAA bud though that was a big stick on the end of that bud he was holding up.

Lastly the weed gets handled too much at the dispensary. Hell the guy that bought the buds was dropping them from 3 feet in the air out of the jar into the big bag where they will dig around it some more, jar it up, let customers finger it and stick their noses into jars. That place is a germfest.

Yep, I was wondering why they chose to follow him the most. I guess that Discovery figures that makes good TV. The guy who worked there was a sad story. You would think that working at a place like Harborside, you could get a little better help at learning to grow. His plants look like trash. It was funny that he can't seem to chase his dreams. I chased my dream, and became a grower! The tax shit sucks, but not that unexpected. I get hit with prepayments on income tax for my business. They are for the amount that you made last year, in assumption that you are gonna make the same this year. If there is an overpayment, they will give you your change at the end of the year. They are broken up into 4 payments though. The show could have been better, cold have been worse. I thought the buyer was the funniest. I swear that I have seen that Dress guy at a Dead show on acid yelling out : "I am a Czechoslovakian vagina!". No joke. At least we know for sure that 4k a P is attainable somewhere. Now only if I had me some sage n' sour :D

I will be curious to see what future episodes are like.

i was worried before the show aired thinkin they were thumbing their noses @ leo and stirring up the pot. i had and still do believe this tv show has alot to do with the feds latest attempt to shut cali dispensaries down, and i couldnt believe they were so arrogant as to try and drag everybody down with them by airing the show waiving it in the feds faces on national tv, but after seeing that BS i realize theyre trying to garner sympathy for themselves(showing you all their problems, were going bankrupt). this is an attempt to make it look like theyre struggling to get by on a day to day basis. they do a good job distracting you, but if theyre running thru pounds in a day, paying 4k but pullin down 8 and runnin thru several in a day, it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out the business. the cfo rolling up in the 80s honda dead on reminded me of a buddy of mine who runs a shop out here, he rolls an old accord so when people see him come and go theyre not thinkin hes the guy with the money, and his representation of the shop in front of the city council was atrocious, embarrasing, and childish. this is the real world with laws and rules and you sit in front of the council saying, c'mon, please... pathetic. youre"the goose that laid the golden egg"? please, go out of business, theyres 2 shops already there to take your place. but youre already getting special treatment getting extension noone else gets, payment options noone else gets. also i have a huge issue with the guy growing the sage n sour, this guy is the scum of the earth, did anyone hear how he was talkin about being a subprime mortgage specialist. so this guy helps distroy the economy screwing people on loans and when that well dries up hes destroying the bay area(and cali by association) growers market, and hes obviously on the inner circle with these people getting special treatment. what im confused about is if he is the black guys mentor why doesnt he have root aphids when hes showin the black guy how to do everything, im sure the black guy was just askin him what/where to get all his shit so theyre most likely using the same supplies...

and to the readers here on the farm, if you dont agree with these jokers and the way they do their "business" you shouldnt watch it. tv ratings are only positive, and by watching youre telling the network to keep paying these fools...

I have mixed feelings about the show. I will say the dude with glasses made himself look like an Idiot. Also say what you will about Steve at least he has some balls to stand up against the federal government and show his face on TV and stand up and fight for what all us sit around and type about it. State's Right's This...And State's Right's That....At least give him some resect for standing up. Honestly he is risking his freedom for what we all do behind closed doors.
