Gawd damn!Kahuna moving along for the slow dry. Was hoping she'd be done by this weekend. Looks like another week to go maybe. We'll check again Wednesday abouts. The Bruce Banner getting her virgin leaves. .

I unofficially have one, with no members on it yetWhat's your discord mate?
I don't have mine set up for vpd yet but I've been thinking about it. Currently I go by temp and humidity triggers. I still need to learn the rest of the controller
It's a little tricky and will act differently (or needs to be set up differently) depending on your environment. Was a learning curve for sure. The confusion off the bat was the triggers. On Auto, which is the setting most of us use, your using the high trigger for the exhaust. Well, for my uses, because the humidity runs high, (20g in a 4x2) yeah the humidity rises. I can rely on the exhaust fan to control the VPD, because the lung room isn't as humid, in fact it's down to about 45% humidity. We can control VPD regardless, just grab the chart and set it dial in the target you want, for example a VPD of 1.2 is great for Veg cycle. 80F 60%Humdity should get ya there. But what happens when the lights go out? Does your tent stay at 80 degrees? Probably not. You could try the automation route and set some lights out parameters, which I was doing for couple grows ..but that's a guess, hit or miss. Fast forward to today, with the VPD options.. I can just dial in 1.2 (if I wanted) and no matter what the temps are, day or night, lights on it lights off, the controller will do what it can to stay at 1.2.I don't have mine set up for vpd yet but I've been thinking about it. But ..
If your on the other spectrum where the tent is usually on the dryer side of humidity, then you'd need to use the high trigger settings with a humidifier attached via the UIS attachment deal (have no idea what that looks like honestly)
Thanks .. I sometimes don't understand my own writing...Good explanation. Thank you. Gonna see what I can do tonight.
Checked for dryness (on the Kahuna) this evening. Grabbed one of the larger buds and trimmed it down quick (meanwhile wife and daughter are gasping for air just walking by the doorway of the lung room.... this shit is DANK and GASSY and that was just the one bud that filled the room) dropped it in the Terp Bag with hydrometer. Shot up to 65% and climbing within minutes... Crud. Not dry enough. Giving it 2 to 3 days more.

Honestly, that soil looks like it could be a little gay. You didn't use the proprietary blend.I'm still in the experimental stage, I've not yet settled on any one amendment for my "soil". I've read and seen some good things about Down To Earth products and this one Bio Live looks promising. Has a gang of beneficials mixed in already and could potentially save me some monies down the road. We just transplanted one of my plants into final pot with a dash of the Bio Live top soil. The other pot was topped off as well.
On another note, I decided to leave the prior root ball in and just plant to the side of it. I'm thinking I won't disturb (as much) bio activity under there, or at least minimize some disturbance. I've seen high dollar corporations doing this so...why not?Just plant it to the side.
