Earl Scruggs died at the age of 88 a couple of days ago. This is my favorite video version of Foggy Mountain Breakdown. How could anyone not love Earl Scruggs? A picker is a picker whether he be pickin on a Strat, a flying V or a banjo. This one gives me goosebumps.
Yeh, def. RIP Scruggsy. Here is another picker past I miss too much!

(on the last two, that is.) Jerry made up for it, (and than some) toh. ;)

LOL, GG. I too, missed the Rap/Hip-hop wagon and instead, have chosen a lifelong ride on the Further bus...

Sunny daze...somethin under yer tongue...Jerry on pedal steel.... ahhhhh

Old skool meets new skool with a little Rocky Mountain Newgrass, Yonder Mountain String Band. Perfect for a Sunday morning.

They cover all of John Hartford's best gratuitous weed smoking songs.

Whiskey Weed and Women......dude sounds like his granddaddy...

Go back and listen to Rebel Son if you want a good laugh.

This is country for people who HATE country.

My son't first kiss was w/ Lowell George's daughter, Inara George. These are musician's musicians' Eric Clapton does guest appearances w/ them when the schedules hook up. my oldhomies.

Got my first drumset in 1984. The first album I ever bought was AC/DC Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, The second was VH 1984, I saw them live that year w/ David. I was 10 years old. What an impression they made, then David left. I was one devastated 10yr old , let me tell ya.
Been waiting almost 30 years for this, a whole new VH gen. has emerged. This is the new VH. David is back and that is Eddie's son Wolfgang Van Halen on Bass. That's right! 3 Van Halens and David Lee. Gettin to rock it out w, uncle and pops. Can only imagine how much fun that is. Mad props to them for still rockin. Oh yeh, Alex is still killin it!, and I still play drums.

This reminds me of 10th grade (1974)....my buddy's basement....16 oz tall boys...mexican pot...and blue double dome acid.....

in it's entirity/in all of it's mid-70's "concept" album glory.....
