wow, still blowing my mind that weed is so cheap out there. I hope it never get's like that here. Hell commercial brick weed goes for 1200 a elbow. I thought you guy's had the bomb out there but i guess with the way people can order what ever they want everyone is pretty well on a even field.

Are you familiar with marketplace economics, tristynhawk? You know, the whole "what the market will bear" concept? Market saturation concepts?

California is a saturated market, as is likely Colorado. Why? Because, everyone and their brother (or mother, d'oh!) is growing weed. So they either no longer need to buy it, or they're also selling it. Both factors alone equal market saturation.

What happens when a market is saturated? Prices drop because demand drops.

We have bomb, but we have a LOT of bomb.

shoot.. back in the 90's, an oz of weed cost more than a oz of 24k Gold...

Gold has since went up 800% and weed is about the same price as it was...maybe cheaper.

edit; I don't even know what point I was trying to make...

Just sayin

forgot you guy's grow medicine note dope...lmao. Goverment monkey's

Did you guy's even have the balls do it before you were allowed. I bet only the hardcore ones did. Maybe a third of the people who grow it now. They were the pioneer's supplying your weed before the goverment did, you should thank them

Put the weed in the trunk. Make sure it don't stank. Drive a Prius and dress conservatively.

Unless your crossing borderst, this is 2 and a half times more work then you need. To go the 250 to LA and sell yo weed.

I think LA is more like 400 miles away though.

was it like this before you could grow legally
I don't think so.

I left out all the mad weed the cartels are growing in the forests and on public lands. They're goin' large when/wherever they can.

Call me dumb or just too high but these statements are very confusing. I'm not sure I understand exactly what any of these 3 people are trying to say.

Up here in the dirty 530 .Yes everyone and their mom is growing. But still only a small elite few growing well. Secondly all these idiots growing huge gardens trying to get rich are either A getting busted B grow low to mid grade pot using toxic crap for ferts or C couldn't trim a nug to save their lives.. We see alot of either ruined machine trimmed stuff which is mediocre at best. Or it's so leafy and larfy their whole haul tastes and smells like hay. I have seen many a pound get scooped up at under 1000 but you then need to go through and retrim it and lose about 15%... I myself have 32 flavors coming out this year Alot of which are just personal for their different properties. As for growing season If you have to complain that weather wasn't permitting and you got your stuff out late You just didn't find a way to be smarter than nature..The only thing I have seen is early flowering this year which is really a problem :oP

was it like this before you could grow legally

Definitely not. Even just 10 years ago it was common to be able to get 3200-3400+ per lb of outdoor, even for shit quality in the Nor Cal area. Before prop 215 supposedly 4000+ per lb was pretty normal (though that was before my time.) Seems like the biggest hit has been in the last 2-3 year - average prices are half what they were in 2008. Does not help that a dollar is worth a lot less than it was 10-20 years ago, and that the price of everything keeps going up.

It's hard to say how this year will be - depends a lot on the fall. There are a lot of big plants out there this year, but the shitty weather early on did screw a lot of people. I've never seen so many re-vegged plants as I have this year so that will definitely have a negative effect on the end product. I've also seen a lot of people switch over to a lower quality but higher volume production methods as well, so there will be a LOT of machine trimmed crap out there this year for sure.

I was referring to what's popular
In the collectives so you can get
Top dollar for your overages

I wonder. Does talking brass balls equate w/ intelligence? I moved K sized loads on airplanes and in a VW van across 2 different international borders a few times back in the 70's. Also smoked pot in the bathroom on planes and airport bathroom stalls. It was a snap. Not so easy or so smart today, IMO, particularly if you have the ability to legally grow and move in the state that you are currently a resident of.

top genetics (+8 - +7.5) + well grown (+1.5) + relationships (+1/ +0.5) + patience (when called for) (+?) = top dollar

But than, there's always that old standby... the Nice Dream truck. :cool0010:

It is reporting like this that makes the farm such a great forum.
Out here in the world, mj is mostly a mystery.
May we see pics of some of these 32 flavors?
Is "dirty 530" and area code or road system reference?

I just found your post on:

Very nice.
