I did look at the pl1000 and 2000
You could do a full grow with 240, 200 would be enough to do a full grow as well, but I’d try to keep it closer to the 200 than 100 if you want to use it for flower. Either way those lights get great reviews on here. I haven’t used one but a lot of people really like them for quality per dollar. If you are like most of us on here, the vegging only typically turns into flowering a couple plants in a 2x2 your next grow indoors and then turs into a 2x4 and so on. I’d plan for the future and go with the 240 which would be just about right for a 3x3 or 2x4 tent if you ever decide to go that route.
I thought you needed a 5k bulb for veg growth and 4k may cause it to go into flower early? I'm asking or speculation , I don't know ... But I remember in my fish tank days you want the higher 5 to 6500k rating to encourage plant growth. 4000k is more of a fall twilight type light spectrum where as 5000 to 6500k is more like mid summer daylight.
The one downside to the KingLED 1500 is no dimming switch. But there are separate toggles for veg and bloom so you have 3 settings: veg, bloom and both on. I think the 2000 models and up all have dimming.
You know, in one of my past lives I learned a lot about lighting but it was for lux (lumens), color temperature and color rendering index (CRI) for human comfort. With the numbers you're referencing, that is the color "temperature." 5500k is the color temperature of the natural sun at midday. Lux or lumens is how much illumination the light can provide. I remember the days we used to refer to candle power to equate how much light is put out. And then there is color rendering index, which is the lights ability to show colors that our eyes can see vividly. All this talk is for human enjoyment of light. When it comes to plants we are concerned with PAR, PPF and PPFD that measure what light in the spectrum is provided that is beneficial to plants and how much of it is emitted. I know zilch about plant lighting. I just trust that the manufacturer has done this research and can provide me with charts for their product that tell me how much of this plant energy is provided at varying distances so I can effectively use my t for whatever I'm growing.
Don’t buy a burple. Make sure the light has Samsung lm301 diodes. And that it is dimmable. That king led is junk.
