I’m pretty new to growing and this is my first full run under leds I have her under a sf4000. My question is what deficiency could this be I only see discoloration on the top new growth and barley any on any older leaves. I’m growing in coast of maine soil and fed her 16 days ago with hgv nutrients and in between that feeding I gave her some cal mag a week ago because I thought this could be magnesium deficiency, but I’m putting this on to double check if this is even a problem or i just have my light to close. The light is about 34 inches away and at 60% power. I’ve been watering every 3 days and was going to water today with some epsom salts, I just wanted to post this to see what I should do before watering.

Kid,

New growth yellowing indicates a deficiency in things not readily transportable to new fissure like N2.
It could be result of any one of these being in short supply -
Boron
Iron
Magnesium
Manganese
Sulfur
Zinc

My money is on Fe, Mg or Mn.

Do a foliar application of Epsom salts and FeSO4. Very dilute, 1/2 teaspoon/spray bottle. Foliar applications of nutrients are taken up quickly and you’ll be able to see if it corrected the deficiency ina day or two. Very dilute, less is better. If it greens up you were deficient in either Fe or Mg or both.

I was just about to feed it half strength nutrients should I still do that or just the foliage spray. I don’t have feso4 I just have epsom salt

Do the foliar. It will correct deficiency quickly. Good diagnostic tool if lacking Fe or Mg.

Sorry kid missed that - Go ahead spray very dilute Epsom salt solution. If it greens you’re deficient in Mg. If not, go to your landscape store. A good one will carry FeSO4. If not, order a bag on amazon. It’s cheap and will last forever.

75-80 ideal for lights on
65-70 ideal for lights off
humidity 50-55% 24/7..

I water every 3-4 days and last time I fed her was 16 days ago with hgv nutrients at half strength and then again I fed today at half strength.
