I do know the true output, (Kill-o-watt and built in meters in my DIYs) but am too old skool to do it the right way..a wing and a prayer has worked so far..LMAO

I can digg it, man. ROFL

I only meant that in relation to DLI.

If you don't know your light's output, yes, the leaves are an excellent indicator to figure out clearance.

Cactusman's articles, and a little extra research, helped me figure out my light's DLI. Once I could calculate that I didn't have to guess or adjust. I just put it in the right spot. Works great. It was so nice not having to worry about cooking the girls anymore.

Here's a great article to get someone started, then you'll need to look up the PAR=DLI formula and your light's PAR test(s)...

I don't know burples or I'd help.

This info is relevant to every grow light. Blurples or white. The key is the mccree curve. Everything in the photosynthetically active spectrum is considered par. But a light that is emitting between 640-660 and 430-450, ie. blurples, are actually more efficient than the white leds which provides ample amounts of green, yellow, orange etc etc.

The efficiency i’m talking about comes into play only if the two lights we’re comparing is built the same. From same material and all, so that there is no actual efficiency difference with the components.

There are some shitty blurples for 50 bucks which i’m almost sure are worse than cfls :D

For white leds, cbxs for example, there are conversion factors which lets you calculate ppfd values based on a lux reading. Now would a cheap lux meter be perfect? No! But its better than nothing.

With blurples you need a quantum meter to get the actual ppfd if the information is not provided by the company.

You can calculate the overall par output of the fixture if you know the efficiency of the components but can’t calculate ppfd from that. Well you already know this shit :)

But in either case 1500 micromoles are 1500 micromoles.

Hahhaaha :) dab one for me, just seen your press and rosin and i’m jealous as fuck :D

The last press I posted a picture of was a double from the same guy on eBay that sold me the 3.5x3.5. He's gone now (('bummed', hangs head, kicks a rock)). Really wanted that one, especially for $700.

I'm still not even entirely sure what rosin is lol. Back in my day we just had weed, I'm new to all this fancy shit:D
Rosin is all the Cannaboids extracted from the plant matter WITHOUT solvents..It uses temperature and high pressure for extraction. There is a ton of info on Google/utube and to get your feet wet CHEAP..use a $15 dollar hair straightener, parchment paper and cured moist
weed!

BTW..Back in my day..we had two types of weed..good and bad weed..occasionally hash..maybe some Colombian Gold and Panama Red or Tie Stick, but even they don't compare in potency to a concentrate like Rosin. Aside from containing no chemical solvents; Rosin can be made by people at home SAFELY and cheaply!!!!

Everybody stay calm! The Rosin Monkey Army has commandeered this thread! Viva la “rosin”!
So I'm guessing it's better than the resin I used to scrape out of my bowl when I got desperate in my younger years? LMAO
Oh NOooo..you did that too..I only did that when I ran out of stems and seeds and the headaches subsided!!..LMFAO
Seriously, I have never had the Rosin tested, but I bet it is well over 50% THC conservatively!
You can even press high grade hash and get Rosin..pure stuff that can be easily dabbed. The only thing I don't press is fresh frozen hash..tastes too good so I smoke it!

My guess is it's upwards of 70%-90% if filters are used, bud is cured, it's not overcooked, and enough pressure is applied.

It’s only my second grow so I got learning to do but the plant should be legit I got it off a reputable seed bank and the flowering took forever so it’s definitely a sativa.

I think he's right, man. Google some pics of Nevilles Haze and see for yourself. It has a very distinct look. Maybe it's a cross? Your girls look more like pics of some Green Crack I've seen recently.

That would surprise me. Dispensary concentrates here, only get to maybe 80%. They are now all trim run and I haven't bought in over a yr, but what I bought was just OK..not great imo.
I also find the better results with dried bud at 62% RH,,(Not cured yet). It is sometimes a bit runny, but the freezer makes it all good again.
