Lol yeah that's me. First 3 days of hanging I do at 70f and 60ish RH. Then as long as it takes at 60F and 60-63% RH usually 14 days or a tad longer.

The cooler temps are really impact full on the preservation of terps. A long, cool slow dry makes for a much better product imo.

The silicone BBQ brush is so much faster and easier for me. No more cramping fingers lol.

How do you get 60F in summer? And why the hell are you in F? Isn't all Canada in C?

Just because most Canadians know both and the US ppl usually go by F.

I have a room with AC and full environmental control. I'm not saying you have to but it makes a big difference for the preservation of terpenes. Last week or 2 I drop temps then cool dry as terps are VOCs and very sensitive to heat.

My best results are when the temp and humidity is controlled to around 75F and 65% humidity with lots of air movement and over a longer period (14 days). I hand trim with gloves and bonsai scissors when I wet trim. For dry trim I use Aqua Man's method with the silicone brush. Its ok, but messy. I always felt weird about brushing trichs off the buds too. It does look better. I think letting them dry with the leaves on has advantages for flavor.

I hung this pine tar joint im smoking for 28 days in an air-conditioned room at about 50% RH. Then I hand trimmed it. Put it in a mylar bag. And sweat it for a day. Then sealed it paper bags, then with oxygen absorbers into mylar. It's good. But weed I've dried in half the time is just as good. Wet trimmed. Dry trimmed. Same results. Nice strong smooth smoke. So anything but speed drying seems to be OK. Next I'm going to try to do Thai sticks. See how those cure.

I search for strains that require little to no trim. Even a potent strain that requires attention with trim is a loser in my book. Dry the herb and then break off remaining leaves I don't want.

Weed doesn't have to be dried at optimal conditions to be a success. My weed in never dried in perfect conditions and it still beats anything at the stores. Shit genetics will fail regardless of how it was grown or dried.

Ignore the fake news cut and paste, plagiarized and regurgitated internet bullshit. I hardly ever get under 70-75 and the smoke is still excellent.

Absolutely not.... optimal are targets. Some prefer to dry at 70f and 50rh. I was just giving my reasons for the conditions I like to use.

We used to toss a heater in a room with a fan and dry that shit in a day. Toss it in garbage bags to sweat and it went super fast. Now. People don't buy anything that isn't super kill. Even back then weed wasn't that bad. I think most techniques should be OK. Pretty sure you can just leave buds on your dresser for a week and just smoke em.

I'm lazy. I hang dry for around 14 days. Forst 3 at 70f and 60-65% RH. Then drop to 60f and 60-63%Rh until dried.

Then I trim and jar. Leaves come off easy and no damage to trichs.

Woah, I have that exact brush! Didn’t know it was used for that, I’ve been using it for cooking like a fool. Next trim I’m trying this, looks so fast. Thanks!

Same reason dollar stores do.... cheap sales just ask my silicone brush lol.

Nah in all seriousness you can sell garbage at a dispensery if it cheap. The black market imo is much harder to sell garbage. Maybe just my location idk.

We don't have weed stores. The government banned em all. All the weed that isn't a AAA or quad gets exported. For an amount that barely pays for the electricity and food. Or it's processed into extract components. And mixed in with other batches. Weed prices basically dropped by a factor of 5. If you have a nice strong purple kush. It's worthless. OG kush? You can get peanuts. A huge load of AAA pink kush? Ok. Someone will buy it. But for way less than anyone ever dreamed.
The classic story is: been growing for years. Didn't set up a back up plan. Now they're growing and getting essentially the equivalent of a working wage. And it doesn't look like it's gunna get better anything soon.
Retail sales are weird. Idiots pay top dollar for government poo. When they can buy an ounce of superior bud for 50 bucks. Makes no sense.
Essentially people get a quarter pound for what they used to pay for an ounce. Sometimes they get a half pound. Our thing is over here.

Shops in Colorado sell outdoor stemmy 20% for 75oz all day long..

One dispensary in Colorado only sells outdoor weed, but uses lights that make it look bright green. Such a scam for people wanting to try smoke.

Hell not gonna lie, outdoor can pass as indoor as long as it is one hitter shit.
