3. Lots of guns don’t necessarily mean lots of shootings, as you can see in Israel and Switzerland.
As David Lamp writes at Cato, “In Israel and Switzerland, for example, a license to possess guns is available on demand to every law-abiding adult, and guns are easily obtainable in both nations. Both countries also allow widespread carrying of concealed firearms, and yet, admits Dr. Arthur Kellerman, one of the foremost medical advocates of gun control, Switzerland and Israel ‘have rates of homicide that are low despite rates of home firearm ownership that are at least as high as those in the United States.’”
I can't help but think the Oregon shooting on Wednesday and the one today are related. The Oregon one didn't go as planned. . . Sounds like the shooter wasn't as well trained or programmed as this new one. Oregon guy busts in yelling "I am the shooter!" and only wacks two people. Not enough body count to get people riled up and calling for immediate changes. So to make sure they get their gun control measures pushed through they activated another shooter, this time sending him to a place where there are defenseless KIDS in a small room where they can't get away and a slaughter is the result. Now the president is hinting he will make damn sure some gun control measures are a foregone conclusion.
These fucking bastards will murder 20 children in order to get their gun control thing enacted. What do you think they want to do to the rest of us once we are disarmed, if they are willing to blow away 20 kids just to get to the rest of us?
You're fucking crazy.
Beyond that you've taken the blame away from the terrible person who did this so that you could put it on the shoulder's of a shadowy unknown governmental figure to further your batshit crazy conspiracy theories. Not only is this regrettable its reprehensible and stupid.
That's pussy shit so far as I'm concerned.
The problem is, as was already stated, capitalists don't give a shit if it doesn't affect them.
And if families have disintegrated it is largely due to the increased power of the state.
People who blame "Capitalists" are semi-retarded. They are leftist ideologues who only want to use a tradgedy to score points for their political agenda. And they're too dumb to realize that we don't have real free-trade capitalism, we have a crony-capitalism/semi-socialistic corporatism system. And if families have disintegrated it is largely due to the increased power of the state.
While there is no evidence of a Leftist false flag operation, much larger and worse atrocities have been coldly executed in order to further an ideology.
It's just a fact. It's the nature of capitalism--dog eat dog if you will.
This is the nature of the world, the nature of nature itself. It has nothing to do with capitalism. You will find dog-eat-dog/law of the jungle everywhere, with the worst offenses in the most corrupt countries with the worst (most "unjust") justice systems.
What I'm saying is that a week from now, most people won't give a shit about this.
This is also universal human nature. Crappy human nature is crappy, but also largely a Darwinian psychological coping mechanism. If we weren't wired that way I suppose we'd all have some trouble surviving and evolving in a constant state of angst and grief.
So far as I'm concerned, the gun debate was solved when the constitution guaranteed our right to bear arms (even IF the reasons for this have long since gone away--and they certainly have).
