I don't have access to dry ice... but thanks for the reply. After years of making dry ice kief hash, I finally got around to documenting my methods. Started with 75 grams of 10-day dried small buds and ended up with 15 grams kief (cups weigh 2 grams each) that I’ll press into hash pucks. Total elapsed time to run 75 grams of buds was about 15 minutes.
Needed items in first pic:
1. Dry ice (hard to find but worth it)
2. 220 micron sieve bag
3. Smooth glass surface to drop kief
4. Plastic container to pre-freeze buds
5. Small container to scoop dry ice
6. Cardboard box to contain kief cloud
7. Screen and tray to recycle dry ice
G’s def the hash guy and I don’t know where ur at but here in sunny fla it’s still 80’s/90’s I’ll take it all day. LolPerfect, I'll stalk your posts... hoping he still has the washer, but the ex wife may have gotten it in the divorce lol. He's a snow bird so he's in Florida till spring, so perhaps I'll just let everything cure till then and have him help me... I cut dried and am curing his plants because he peaced out to Florida as soon as the air made his nipples hard... so he can put in some work to help me.
I’ve never had a complaint on taste but curious how to remove contaminate…dry sieve thru finer mesh? Always eager to improve technique.that must taste awful, that totally needs to be cleaned of contaminate.

I'm ok with it for the first month or so... it would be great if it didn't start in October though. Usually January hits and it's 20 below and I've had my fill of snowshoeing and sledding and I'm ready to just hibernate till spring... in April, fuck sometimes May really. Why do I live where it's cold half the year again?First hard freeze here coming next week. Fuck I hate winter!!!
I tried it with 16, 73, and 45, micron bags. I still got so much contamination that it would not roll up or stick. Ended up making extraction with it.if you use dry ice my method is to have a space/counter.. to shake the bag once in a different spot each time, so like you would have 5-6 piles from 1-6.. than i’d take a pinch from the first one and press between my fingers to see if it sticks together and forms a piece of hash, i’d do this with each pile till the resin isn’t sticking together, than take the piles of resin which are pressing into pieces of hash and i’d put those together and due a hot water bottle press in cellophane, than hand pressing till finish..
using dry ice will create lots of plant material contaminate..
Yeah winter got here this morning to ! It’s only 73 this morning brrrrr.First hard freeze here coming next week. Fuck I hate winter!!!
If I had a dick I'd tell you to suck it.Yeah winter got here this morning to ! It’s only 73 this morning brrrrr.
If I had a dick I'd tell you to suck it.My father in law lives in Florida and loves to rub that shit in.
FYI…I just viewed my kief sample under a 100x microscope and saw about 98% trichomes and about 2% plant matter. It presses nicely into hash pucks and tastes good so I don’t see a problem with that…eliminating 98% of plant material from a bud is a pretty good trade off for a quick process IMHO.I tried it with 16, 73, and 45, micron bags. Yeah I do that sometimes, I always have a bunch of keif in my grinder. #stonerproblemsFYI…I just viewed my kief sample under a 100x microscope and saw about 98% trichomes and about 2% plant matter. Can you get a co2 fire extinguisher can fire it into a pillow case an d you will have dry iceI don't have access to dry ice... but thanks for the reply.
can you post a couple pictures of the pucks?FYI…I just viewed my kief sample under a 100x microscope and saw about 98% trichomes and about 2% plant matter. Here’s a 1+ gram hash puck (with minor amounts of plant matter). To make it I use a 1/2” PVC coupling, place a nickel inside, add 1-2 grams kief, place another nickel on top, and compress in a vice using a 14mm socket wrench fitting (fits snuggly inside coupling) to squeeze nickels together. Peel off nickels and “voila” hash puck. It’s not a perfect hash but it tastes good and it gets the job done. Next year I’ll try ice water bubble hash.can you post a couple pictures of the pucks?
That seems like more chemicals than I wanna fuck around with lol.Can you get a co2 fire extinguisher can fire it into a pillow case an d you will have dry ice
I thought it was brilliant. That seems like more chemicals than I wanna fuck around with lol.
I know this is a press but what is this pic showing?I thought it was brilliant.View attachment 1183342
