Yeah man, I figured. Actually I transplanted the plants in coco perlite mix first. I just put some clay on top of coco . so would that still be a problem, coz the roots are in coco .?

Well no, if the rootzone is actually in the coco you should be alright. :D

That's a relief, coz I was gonna be busy for a week at least and couldn't have given them much time.

Thanks mate :)

Dont get me wrong about clay. It is a great additive for homemade soils, however use it sparingly and be sure it is evenly mixed thru out your potting medium. I from looking at your pics envisioned the little starts having thier roots surrounded by that clay. Truth be known clay has a higher CEC rating than Humus so its really great for nutrient uptake but it has to be used correctly.

Didn't read the whole thread, sorry if this is nonsense.

I put seedlings in a gallon milk container, or 2 liter bottle. Keeps them warm like a mini greenhouse.

I have actually filled a 2 liter with dirt, and dropped a seed in and covered it using a straw to sift the dirt. Works great.

Something like this....http://www.instructables.com/id/Soda-Bottle-Greenhouse/
