When Do I Mark First Day Of Flowering?

So I put my plants on 12/12 on December 17th and saw the first signs of flowering on the 23rd...

When do I mark Day 1? It's almost February and I'd like to prepare properly.

December 17 is your day 1. You should be full in bloom mode right now, they should be done stretching and just stacking right now. you should be in week 6 and looking to add some type of ripening agent like MOAB depending on the strain soon if you haven't already

I'm doing a flush tomorrow with plain water. 3g of water per gallon pot.. Then give it watered down molasses, tea remains and used coffee grinds the final 2 weeks.

I have flora kleen but hesitant to use it..

Try to understand.....
Breeders bloom times are from “PERFECT” growing condition.
I don’t grow in perfect conditions.
I used to start my bloom week count at the start of 12/12 for ever.
And always has problems with it.( probly more mental than anything)
Then one day it was suggested to me to NOT start my week count at 12/12 but to wait till I see the very first white pistal and start my week count then.
Which I did.
Only then did everything seem come together.
The week counts seemed a little more in line with the trichs maturing.
So I suggest to you.
Start your 12/12 week count at the first sighting of a white pistal.
You won’t be sorry

That's what I had it set too but some made comments about my pics that they were farther in term.

It could be that I have close to perfect conditions and I'm running 2000 watts from the wall of LED.. they do look freaking awesome..

So I became a bit concerned that maybe my timing is off.. Either way, just got my currency detection 120x scope. Once the trich heads turn armberish, I'll know they're ready and I'll know when my count should have began...

I flushed them today because I'm 16 days away or maybe 23 days away. Lmfao.. It's all good. I'll be feeding them potassium and carbs the remaining weeks..

You start your flower cycle at flip. When ppl say they are at day 65 of flower, that means they are 65 days from the day they flipped. NOT when you see bud sites or whatever. Do you count the start of a seedlings life the day it shows it's first set of leaves?

Not quite understanding the flush the add molasses and coffe grounds????
Are you growing a frappe a chino???
But really....,
Not a real proponent of flushing soil
But if one must
Flush with a little molasses.
But adding it (and coffe grounds???) at the end really does nothing for the plant.
Molasses and coffe grinds are great soil additive to add to the soil before the grow.
Not as a flushing agent after....

Just realized don’t know your medium....
Doooooh!!!!
But pretty sure your late additions are not the most efficient no matter the medium.

We are not talking about seedlings.
And yes
Folks have been starting counting from 12/12 forever.
However
As a personal grower starting the week count at first sight of pistals works way better.
And the OP would not have this problem if they did.
Lots of ways to farm.
But starting at 12/12 or first pistal, neither matter as long as swoll and ripe at the end.
This means forget the weeks count and just check your trichs....

I guess in my system it’s easy to chart transition as I write down the date they move into the flower room.
And since flower weeks start at first pistal, I just look at the time between.
Easy peasy

1. Post flush coffee grinds and molasses provides a good sources of potassium, Magnesium, and carbs. So it can't hurt and any argument against something that will not be negatively consequential doesn't bother me.. My plants need more then carbs last 2 weeks and I don't want to use any chems..

2. I agree, in the end, it shouldn't matter. Veg until your happy with height and sets of branches.
Harvest when trichs are ripe. Just use a scope..

I think 99.9% of us start counting flower time the first day of 12/12. Not sure how that would cause any trouble. If you are flowering mature plants, they will all have pistals already. Keep it simple, start counting from day one of flipping to 12/12

The day I flip we are in flower. I count the weeks after that. In my experience it is about 10 weeks of flower for pretty much everything excluding some trickier sativas and some faster indicas

yup i would have to start counting everything about 3 weeks before 12/12 if i went off pistols,some of my shit has pistols after the cuts root which would make them 20 week strains,yup i got some la con that goes 20 lol

seeds from the first pistol you see after flip,clones the day you flip.plants have to be sexually mature,just because you flip to 12/12 doesn't mean a seedling is ready,ive had seeds from the same pack take 3 weeks longer to start throwing hairs than the others started the same day.
Same seedlings as clones will all start to flower the day you flip as they are equally mature.clones usually take a couple weeks less than flipping from seedlings,If you flip to 12/12 and the plants already have hairs,than you can count from the day you flip
