recently converted to the Merlin Garden Pro RO system ($450) , which is a dandy though a bit pricey . It could do 500gals a day if pushed & has taken our 400ppm well water down to 60ppms , the problem being so much sediment in the well water itself requiring a prefilter stage mandatory ( called "Tall Boy" highly recommended ) . There's much cheapr under the counter units that for just cleaning up city water will do the trick just fine & give u up to 100gals a day ..& PPMs down around zero.
