Which nutrients to use for hydro?

stick with what you like. We all have our favs. I like ANs jungle juice the first 3-4 weeks and then connissuer after that. Im looking into cutting edge these days also. I have to run more of a synthetic mix due to warmer water temps coming on now. So, i dont use as many of ANs products during the hotter months. I stick to their Hammerhead, big bud, overdrive, and a lil b-52 during the summer months. Helps keep the root rot issues down. My set up doesnt allow for a chiller so i stay more to the synthetic side.

I liked DM gold line for veg. but found in the winter i wasn't getting the regular explosion of flower in week 4. I switched over to GH and blam doubled in that week to usual golf balls.

I'm just coming to the end of my DNF formula(dutch nutrient formula) and I now have the choice btwn
Advanced nutrients
General hydroponics
DNF.

Let me know

Advanced Nutrients, hands down.

I'm running the pH Perfect lineup right now, but I suggest that you might want to use the Jungle Juice lineup cuz it's cheap.

Or you can use the Hobbyist Level bundle that includes Sensi A&B Grow/Bloom, Voodoo Juice, Big Bud, B-52, and Overdrive.

AN hasn't let me down yet.

decrimCA is also wack just like what he's demoting err promoting, I just can't help but to bash these misinformants. Buy anything except AN, unless you enjoy paying the most for the least. Just look at how pathetic there sales tactics are. How much do they pay you to chime in to every single noob thread that asks about nutes? or do you just have a passion for misinforming? all your missing is the © at the end of Advanced Nutrients and it looks like some of the propaganda on rosebud mag.

AN is overpriced and wack.
Wack, I tell you.

Couldn't agree more - I own a hydro store and working with AN is difficult, no discounts on LARGE orders and customer service is so/so. I used to run the GH line now i'm on Cutting Edge, Micro & Bloom formulas only, WAY less salt then leading brands and the guys who brew it are very likeable. To finish them off a little Cal Mag, Bannana Mana, Liquid/Powder Koolbloom, and sometimes if I am ahead I'll use AN's shooting powder.

I've heard allot of bad reviews on Jungle Juice - I wont sell it in my store.

Shooting powder is wack and chemmy. I would avoid it. House and Garden, not AN.
Cutting Edge is really shitty value, almost as bad as AN.
Mag amp? Epsom with maybe a surfactant in the water, maybe not?
Humtea? From soil around redwoods? Dude I don't use ectos.
Cutting Edge is gimmicky.

Our nute ratios should be based on the medium we are using, and whether or not we recirculate.

If anybody here rocks any dtw coco application, I have several nute tutorials from salts in the nutrient threads. It breaks it all down there.

The only thing we should be buying from hydro stores is equipment. Not nutes.
That's what I did.
The money I saved on nutes went towards climate control.
Which is what we should all be working towards.

Go to greners.com for your AN needs. Its seriously the cheapest place to get a lot of stuff.

$130 for a 23 liter jug of Sensi A, thats more then half the price I have seen from links others have posted on here. Plus they have free shipping for orders over some price that I can't remember. No, I don't work for them, I just think they are a great store!

I've used GH, ionic, dynagrow, and most not too expensive ones with pretty good success. I decided to give AN a try because of some forum posts and got some of the PH perfect line for a lot of money. Biggest waste of money ever, it wasn't a bad yield but it also didn't do better than anything I had used before... Now I know when you see shady attempts to push a product or business place, you shouldn't even bother dealing with them in the first place. Unless you want to get denied on a return or warranty. You should deal locally if possible, you'll avoid a lot of headaches.

Isn't it the stores that one buys the product from that carries the return policy. No one goes to AN directly to buy, so of course one wouldn't go to them directly for a return. One time Greners sent me 2 As instead of an A and B, they sent me a B and told me they would send me a return box for the extra A, never got the return box, never heard from them wanting their extra jug, I am talking about 23L jugs too. Cant get any better return policy then that LOL :)

We all have our Favs, you need to actually compare the prices and the nutrients facts.

Been runnin Botanicare for years. Have it dialed in and works for me everytime...and the consumers are always throwing out compliments on quality. If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it.

Use General Hydroponics. It's the best business decision.

IMO, when growing you want to eliminate as many variables as you can. When things happen during your grow, you don't want to have a contaminated or bad batch of nutrients as one of the variables, so why not eliminate them from the beginning.

The cleanest and most consistent nutrients are likely to come from the largest companies because they have the budget to pay for the standardization and quality control.

NASA uses GH.

I like GH, I'm switching from soil to passive hydro very soon and I'm also switching my nutes from mostly Fox Farm to 100% GH.

I have always had great results with GH... I love it... Always hit at least 1.5 lb/1k with it in a warehouse...
Recently, after getting out of the whole dispensary scene and moving to a personal grow again, I have switched to Botanicare Pure Blend Pro... I think that the end product is much better and tastes better too... The yields aren't quite as good but I don't have it quite dialed in yet like I did with the GH so I can't know for sure until I get a few more runs in with it...

I've tryed GH & AN and had great results.. I like AN Connie A&B & Hammer Head.. But AN is so damn expensive.. If u want a 5 star nute line u should really look in2 A1 Nutes there nute line kicks ass & it's very affordable..
