Nice. That method does not work for me. This past Feb I put a dozen seeds of eight different tomato and pepper varieties each and got 6 plants total. I don't know why, seeds popped and put in a peat pot with strained potting soil. I have very good success just putting the seeds individually in said peat pots so I'm good. I did a half dozen of four different and got all but five, 19 of 24. Works for me. 👍
From my past experiences with peppers, it's always seemed to me that they abhor peat.

I have no issues with peat pots and have popped in the past few day several different peppers and tomatoes but the paper towel method is a no go for me. Maybe I'm not gentle enough but the last time I tried it I cut out each seedling, and no I didn't cut through the root, and laid paper and all on top of the soil and covered. Only got a few. No worries, just putting seeds in pots work well for me.😁
