Note to self: do not trim while high. Took a whole branch on accident. Only defoliated one plant. Will give it a couple of days to see the difference then do the rest right before flower.

Got the new hood in the mail today, so up goes the 600W light. Now its time to dial in my temps again. I want them around 80 correct?

Avg temp is 82 right now with the lights on. Not bad at all. I could get it to drop a bit more if I wanted to. Also - I watered with tap wwater (for the extra calcium) and ph'd it to 6.0 even. I ph'd the runoff and it was 6.67 Seems pretty good right?

yeah 80 degrees with 60% rh is the target range.

Run off is an inaccurate way of measuring medium pH. I recommend searching for how to do a slurry test. This will provide you the most accurate method of determining medium pH. Myself and several other members have described in depth how to do this test multiple times, so it's floating around here.

How do you feel about soil ph meters? I have one on the way to my house right now.

Haven't used one personally but I know there's several farmers that use them and like them. The key is to be getting your number directly from the medium. There are factors that I'm not real clear on that influence inaccurate pH readings in runoff though.

I should do a slurry/soil meter comparison and let you know. I'm going to try not to touch my plants for a week aside from watering. I was too fussy with them this week and I think it hurt waaay more than it helped lol.

Also, I know that Datsun is the old car company name, but for a weed farmer it just makes me think "Dat Sun!" lol

Lol I never saw it is as that, hell of a connection you made! I'm a vintage japanese auto enthusiast and drive a datsun. Huge part of my life :)

Definitely do a comparison, if anything for solidarity and confirmation of actual function of the soil meter vs slurry test.

Both of my uncles had 70's era z's - so I've seen those things do some tricks :) That straight 6 was an amazing engine - Also, I always wanted a 510 sleeper. Those things are bananas

Yeah I have an 82 280zx as my daily and will be buying a 210 wagon here in the next couple months from an uncle. The 210 only has a 4 banger in it, but that'll be swapped for more power. Then slammed to the ground and put sideways more often than straight XD

Sounds like a blast! I'm saving up for a 4x4 at the moment. I live at the base of some pretty badass mountains so I want to go play in those.

Here's an update. Color is coming back. Still a little yellow. Been using calmag to ph my water down. Also foliar fed epsom salts twice now 6 days apart. I bent the plants over, they responded very well. Removed a LOT of foliage on the inside of the plants but no nodes. Overall they are bouncing back pretty well. Keeping my ph steady at 6.0 for my water. Took these yesterday.

Thanks! Still having some stubborn as shit mag problems. I'm going to invest in a bag of dolomite lime. But next grow will be completely different anyhow.

Make a foliar with 1 tbsp epsom salts to 1 gal water. Try to keep the spray just on the leaves. You should see an improvement within 24 hours. If you're not comfortable spraying this late into flower, a liquid additive should help for immediate gratification or dolomite lime to get you through the end of the run.

I have some sea mag from humboldt nutrients. They will be getting extra for a couple runs. Also I need to water with a higher ph this run. Should be ok, hopefully it doesn't impact my yield much.

Also, i moved this over to grow diaries now. If you want to follow that thread it would probably be easier.
