Will black ash taste better than white ash

I think if its black its got more impurities...good clean erb has white ash a blue hue to the smoke. Just like the smoke out of the tail pipe of a new/newer car... if you clean your pipe and smoke. Your resin should ash white as well...it will take on a different structure black on bottom white ash on top...if that makes sense...lol

Usually, it is the opposite. If it snaps, crackles and pops, then its really bad.
Thats why they call it crack! Jk

Back to the subject.....does the color of ash have to do with taste? Ill say no and yes!

Ill say thus too. The darker the ash the shittier my heartburn gets...damn

One more thing: if im not mistaken terpenes are volitized at around 70 to 90 degrees F! Maybe they are part of the black ash.

Someone should do reasearch about this

sometimes I think color of ash has something to do with drying,
maybe 14 days is the best

Im sure theres variables that change the color of ash...i could see that as one. Also over fed plants, bad dry, bad cure, ...i see alot of coming into my state from Colorado...ash is dark af smoke is harsh af...some is just straight nasty af..... this is shit they sell in dispensaries....im appalled i grow better peppers then they do pot

White-light grey ash and good heat retention in the cherry (joint stays lit), and a smooth cool smoke is from weed that doesnt have a surplus of unused nutrients in it, and was fed properly for the last month at the very least. Dry and cure also has an impact but imho, to a lesser extent.

Black- dark grey ash, poor heat retention (joint burns out) and a hot harsh smoke is pot that was overfed and not flushed out enough near the end. Dried too fast can exacerbate this, but the main reason is overfeeding/not flushing enough to compensate for the high feed rate.

Dirtbag just summed it up well. but it's interesting to see someone else say this about heartburn too. I've kind of used it as my indirect test for residuals.
Dude, i was just going to say your first sentence...no lie!

Ive got this built in detector....if i sneezed, im pleazed....in other words if it gets me sneezing its good to go...if i smell the bag and i sneeze. First ? Outta my mouth is, you got more?

Residuals and heartburn go hand in hand for me...im sure some smoke goes in my stomach and thats how it happens

Hi Dirtbag
I remember my seed was 8 weeks strain,so I gave 50-100ppm in the middle of week 7 , RO with last two time in week 8, I drying 7 days now , maybe it will take 14days and I found that there were some white ash in the middle of black ash. when i was in week 8 ,i felt I needed to continue flushing for a week with RO (run off is 50ppm ),waited more sugar leaves turn yellowing~but the 40% amber had turned dark brown(dont wanna more CBN on it )

Cool bro ,I spent the whole day yesterday and didn't find any helpful information at all. is true that run off is 0 ppm in flushing, and finally the ash is white (except colourful strains ?)
IMO there is many things... pretty much all pointed out before my post. But I did find when testing buds if they were still fairly wet they burnt darker and like shit.

Here's a great recent vid with some actual science finally. But my belief now is not that its bad or unnecessary, but may be beneficial for completely different reasons than we currently think. If chlorophyll content has a direct result on the quality of the smoke/cure, then a good flush/fade and increased anthocyanin productivity is essential. I will also be trying an extended dark period while still potted before hanging.
