If that's your only issue....Photo isn't necessary but if needed I'll post.
Ppfd is 500, plants are 51 days out, PH 6.2, temp 78F. Every evening about two hours before lights out my growtips wilt. In the morning they are up and happy. Happens wet or dry. What's going on? Can it be fixed? Is it just part of lifecycle?
sounds about rightIf that's your only issue....
They're getting ready for bed...
Soil! PH level my choice this grow. Better a little sweet then acidic.Your ph is strange it’s neither coir or soil ph levels what medium are you using
sounds about right
TY for "nyctinasty"It's called nyctinasty. Just part of the natural circadian rhythms of the plant.
Soil! PH level my choice this grow. Better a little sweet then acidic.
BB I Just adjusted the PH in the garden. What goes in comes out. Was 6.1 in, 5.9 out before adjustment. My garden is happy, only issue is them wanting to go to sleep before bedtime. I am not ready to water for runoff yet.For soil, that's more acidic than sweet... 6.2 going in, or runoff?
Bobcat you're absolutely right. So locked into 6.0 being the sweet spot I automatically think anything below is acidic and above sweet.
What PH level do you grow at?
That’s actually more acidic than the recommended ph for soilSoil! PH level my choice this grow. Better a little sweet then acidic.
TY makes me rethink my level. I start with filtered well water. Pretty consistent 7.7. Always room for improvement.Generally, soil would be 6.0 to 7.0
I'm back into soil this year after going hydro for several years... I pH my water to 6.5 - 6.6 if it isn't already there. My water comes right out the ground via a very clean spring (10-15ppm) and usually is 6.8 to 7, but when it rains our holding tank can drop to 6.5 or 6.6 temporarily.
I'm not checking runoff pH unless I suspect something is afoul.
I posted a chart up top pretty much what I've followed forever. I have noticed people moving towards 7.0. I recently had an issue with a plant at 6.8. Took her down to 6.1. She's happy! Sometimes they just come out of it and you don't know whyThat’s actually more acidic than the recommended ph for soil
It should fall somewhere between 6.5-7
You can grow at lower ph lvls however it’s not optimal
All depending on what your feeding the soils could be buffering the ph anyway
Whichever way it’s no big deal it’s your grow & only you can decide what you want to do
May I introduce an X factor?I posted a chart up top pretty much what I've followed forever. I have noticed people moving towards 7.0. I recently had an issue with a plant at 6.8. Took her down to 6.1. She's happy! Sometimes they just come out of it and you don't know why
Depends on your soil and water I guess. Back in the 90s nobody considered it at all for most home grows. You bought your dirt, mixed in your organics, watered from the tap, and then went on about your day. The day I went hydro was the day I started overthinking.I hear some folks say that messing with PH in soil is waste of time. Buffers ? What’s a buffer?
The MiracleGro days!Depends on your soil and water I guess. Back in the 90s nobody considered it at all for most home grows. You bought your dirt, mixed in your organics, watered from the tap, and then went on about your day. The day I went hydro was the day I started overthinking.
I didn't even touch that shit in 1994!The MiracleGro days!
