Ruptured appendix..
Got bad infection almost fatal.
They gave me Demerol push the button as needed.
Had a bad reaction to that and the other meds and infection
I was in intense pain and delirious from the reaction to the Demerol.
I got out of bed was in hall of hosp. screaming in pain.
The nurse freaked out, told me to shut up.
Another nurse going off duty heard the commotion and came to my rescue..
Immediately got off Demerol, she knew it was the wrong medication for my condition.
My stomach was full of infectious matter.
She told me the procedure of draining meant sticking tube up nose down to stomach and it is painful.
After several attempts she actually used a catheter and got the tube down and infection to drain, she stuck around all night and saved my life..
I slept for 15 hours and the infection was clearing up well.
After about the 7th day no tube, I requested some food, won ton soup had the crave, would be nice and light broth etc.
The nurse said no way..
I said fuck that called wife to bring won ton soup and called friend told him bring joints..
He showed up wheeled me out to parking lot and with great difficulty took about 4 hits..
I got as high as I have ever been. no tokes for 10 days, no cigs either..
We herd my name paged to return to room. The Doc was there and she examined me and said feed him.
I had already eaten lightly and after the tokes I was amazed and knew I had gone thru worse.
I was ready to check out against orders but stuck around cause I had 2 joints left and I stayed up all night taking a few tokes here and there.
A total physical and spiritually experience, like an angel of mercy came down and relived my pain and worry..
We unhooked all the IVs, no more meds. Found out the were giving me all sorts of shit like the stuff to quit smoking, admitted I smoked when checked in I was o out of it at med time did not ask what they were giving..
After being so sick not wanting a cig. made quitting easy..
got out with several prescriptions pain pills as well did none.
I healed myself in no time with real food and man did it taste ever so amazing.
Raw goat milk and cheeses, avocados, cashews, still had pain but pain is part of healing.
Went back to surgeon for follow and he was pissed I did not take the meds and wanted to schedule an MRI..Sure doc will doo.
