Maybe there's a point of diminishing returns above 5500 lumens/ sq ft. A lot would depend upon factors such as the strain morphology, grooming style, (ie LST, lollipop), reflector light dispersal, lamp -> plant top distance, and the temp above the canopy. The best that a calculator of this nature can do is work w/ averages and shoot out some general guidelines. I would plan out a room using the calc formula provided by convex, and use a light meter and your plants as a guideline for dialing in the optimum lighting arrangement and vertical throw distances.
