Super -- thanks for pointing out how nonsensical our government is.

To retain the right to remain silent I have to speak up? Is that it?

What's next? To retain our first amendment rights will we have to remain silent?

Apparently a citizen must invoke their right to remain silent, just as you must invoke your right to speak with an attorney.

How Mr. Po Po feels about that is another matter entirely.
