Did some training/ supercrop (if that’s what you want to call it. Was always taught to roll and bend the branches so you could move them and that the yield always increased- getting that pop). Girls are looking pretty good

Here’s an example of how red the Jamaicans are. What I find interesting, is that the males have less red, clearly less but still some. The female is prominent. Same soil, same feed same everything. Probably nothing but I thought it was neat.

I want to grow outdoors so bad in New England but lack the green space with sunshine. Looking amazing!

Little update on the garden. Few shots of my ladies, shaping up pretty nicely. For those who don’t know, Vermont is one of the hardest places to grow outside with our weather and short growing season.

Lots of these are over 6ft tall in the ports, the shortest are about 4.5 ft.

Here’s a shot of one of my breeding patches , four large males just getting ready to select two as pollinators, the other two will get tossed. My other breeding patch has just two Jamaican males.

Does anyone know about 11 pointed leaves? All of the seeds I picked up in Jamaica have these very different leaves. Never had a plant quite like these, really wish I knew what it was genetically related to for strains. They have so many things particular to them that I don’t see with any of th other strains I’m running now and some things I haven’t seen in 20 years

Do the Jamaicans have a specific smell yet... Citrusy or earthy?

Next time you get a closer look the Jamaicans, see how many fan leaves are coming out of each node. I’d bet it’s a landrace, obviously Sativa. Once they flower, we would probably have enough info to narrow the genetics down. Maybe not get an exact match but close enough.

I’ll be seeding the only female, and be sure to set a few aside to send you.

I have had to expand and adjust as each plant now needs a solid 4x4 ft space with training in place. With lots of rain I have had good growth recently.

My attempt at full garden shot but it’s getting tough. It’s currently 1/3+ larger than last year with 1/3 more plants.

The Jamaican female. From ground to top she’s about 6’5 currently in a 15 gal fabric pot

I think I’m going to need more than just a couple part time helpers trimming that’s for sure. I’m currently trying to strategize how to handle it come harvest. I typically wet trim it all, and I like it well manicured. So that takes time- but it makes all the difference when drying and canning. My past process has led to great, long lasting results. I am worries about this year and what true weather will bring

I’m guessing a lot of these are a unit plus plants. What’s the most people pull in New England from their outdoor? Last year I adv .5-.75 per, and that is what I have called very good for here. What’s everyone else have to say?
