Bump-a-lump. I am now almost fully integrated into the 21st century. I finally have moved from an old flip phone (so old that AT&T had trouble finding information on it to help me transfer contacts) to a Smartphone.
Whoa. We live in modern times!
I'm really diggin' the antics of the chickens. They've now finally broken their fear barrier of me and two days ago began taking food out of my hand. As usual, it started with the largest Rhode Island red. He (the more I watch him the more I'll be surprised if it's a hen) RAN up to me and cautiously took the first bite. Now it's gotten to the point that when I walk by the box they look up at me like I owe them money. They try to eat my moles, fortunately it doesn't hurt (yet!), but it has been pretty surprising. So far no one's crapped on me yet, surprising. I thought they'd be more like a 'tiel or something on that. Anyway, it's a lot more fun now that they let me get near them, touch them, etc. Some of them are turning out to have very pretty feathers, rather like a hawk or other wild bird.
