Just pulled right around 47 pounds of great quality nugs out of my 24k room. Rockwool 9-12 per light vegged 3 weeks.
Jacks 3-2-1 + booster + calcium chloride, and pro tekt. Great fucking thread Cap! Next round should be 2+ per table :)

Excellent !!!

I considering running jacks 3-2-1 on softened well water. I ran cubes and cutting edge/Gh with this water without a problem. I know even after the softener and my tall boy the silica is still coming in, off hand can anyone think of any serious issues I may run into?

Stay on your pH like glue on stamps until you know what the water and your nutes are going to do. Silica and other things in 'softened' water can have weird buffering effects.

What current ratio per gallon are you using on tap?

If I understand you correctly, do it by adding mix until I get the EC I'm looking for. This accounts for the rest of the variables in the system.

This on tap or R/O? Can you explain the need for the calcium chloride, I figured the cal nitrate had all the needed calcium. You've never had a need for M.O.S.T?

I've found my ladies do well with 1ml/gallon of Mineral Matrix in addition to the Jacks 3-2-1. In really low EC water, I'll even do 3-2.5-1.5 to add calcium and mag to the formula, or add 5ml/gal of Botanicare Cal-mag.

I'm interested in hearing if anyone's tried running this in RO water without MOST or another micronutrient product. Were there any issues/deficiencies?

At .05 EC, local city water may as well be RO. I found just an overall 'not quite enough' that could also have been Ca deficiency at the time. I have a formula that works; I'm stickin' wid' it. Lol

What kind of scales are y'all using to weigh the salts?

I like my hundredth scale, but I'm sure a tenth would work fine. The bigger amounts you weigh out at once the less precise the scale has to be. I haven't needed anything under 10 grams so far.

Hey cap... any updates to this regimine?

Looking for

Seed/seedling amounts

Veg

flower

Hope all is good. Had to postpone due to summer heat. It got bad up here in the desert and glad I held off. It has been a killer as far as heat goes.

I'm using 3-2-1 now again for simplicity, but I am gonna be changing things up soon so I will keep this thread posted.

Question for you; my tapwater is like most people's RO, EC .05. In the part, I've used 5ml/gal of Botanicare's Cal-Mag, and the Jacks 3-2-1.

Recently, I changed by skipping the cal-mag, but compensated changing my Jacks formula to 3-2.5-2. Is this a good substitution, or am I hurting myself, and how?

Cal mag is unnecessary if you understand nutrient calculations you can see that you can adjust Ca by upping the Calcium nitrate and you can add Mg with epsom salts. I suggest you learn a nute calculator, and start pluggin in numbers. There are lots of slats out there to play with to get the ppms per element you are after. It's not about the overall EC, it's how many ppms of each element you are adding to the solution.

Agreed. Thanks, Cap. Just what I needed... More homework... lol
