I wear a tyvek painter suit with booties/hood built in, like $10, chemical gloves$7, respirator $25-30, 2 gal pump sprayer premium with heavy hose and metal wand versus plastic$20-30. Besides tearing some suits, I've been through 2 respirators, same gloves, and a few sprayers in the last decade...I can't stand smelling what I'm spraying....

Better to be safe, than sorry! I got a Tyvek suit and Mask. Def need a better sprayer. I usually dont have bugs so pesticides r not used frequently around my garden.

Haven't sprayed avid since 1999, did use it in a res once...lol

Never used a pyrethium bomb or any can of poison, I don't even wash with bleach between cycles. Don't get me wrong, my rooms are spotless and pretty damn clean, but my preventative sprays and sulfur vaping kills anything that I have ever had to worry about.

Keep in mind that spider mites thrive on the blackberries on the wall outside my main room. Literally touching the siding, riddled with mites. It's the health of the plants that keeps the bugs away, when they are healthy they send out signals that keep away bugs and when they aren't healthy they send signals inviting the bugs.

I hit my plants every week with foliar of caps bennies when I got them (I'm out now) & at least once or twice a month gets Azamax or neam or mighty wash juss incase a mite found its way in.. Bugs r everywhere in the Central Valley I live in bug ground zero.. In the summer I keep up on neam action b'cuz in the hot months is when I'll see a mite.. Any time I add a new cut 2 the room I bust out the heavy shit.. That's when I bust out the avid..

I haven't seen any mite in many years but this yr I found 1 in a new cut I added.. So now I'm attacking them & there dead now but I'm still attacking them incase a egg hatches.. Every 3 days they will get sprayed with sumthin

Damn dog the Berries got mites? The spider mites seem 2 have killed my watermelons this year again.. The mites get so bad on the watermelon plants outside that the leafs yellow & die & the plants die 2... The mites even got my pinto beans (daughters magic beans) & string beans got killed by the mites..

Ur rite about the plants health b'cuz I inspected every plant in the tent & the mites were mainly on 1 new plant but that plant was cluster fucked with a grip of others & the leafs were touching & mites walked 2 only 4 other plants.. I figured I cought the issue rite when it started prolly within a week or 2.. But like u said maybe they were juss attacking the weaker plants & the healthy strong plants held them back till I noticed & took action..

I hit them with Avid & b4 the plant was 100% dry I wanted 2 know how it affects the live mites.. They move very slow after they get hit with avid & when they walk slow there legs sometimes juss spazz out.. They walk & there leg freaks out & moves all crazy in the wrong direction.. I can tell there in major pain & dieing<< prolly like me watching them die I'm dieing...what a dumb ass!!

Now the milky eggs r dead lookin brownish red & there r white spots where it looks like a mite exploded & only left white body parts behind.. Some mites r juss shriveled up like a dead spider.. Pure death & destruction anywhere a mite was chillin...

Do you guys mix anything with Avid, like soap? I don't use soap anymore because it clogs the stomata up and they seem to be stunted for a week or two after. I hear avid works better if you PH it to 5.5 then add 2.5ml per gallon. Two things I noticed is that mites hate humidity and they hate wind or fans.

How long do you guys keep your Avid soaked plants outside? I don't want to dunk my plants and then take them inside the house and breath that crap.

man ever since I started listening to coot i haven't had one bug or chemical touch my plants there is an organic natural solution to all bug problems avid is some nasty shit its the reason there are dud clones going around, organic IPM ftw

i agree whole heartedly. if you do have to resort to avid, it should only be used on small clones that will then become moms. This way the plant has a solid 4 months at least before you harvest and there is plenty of time for it to get out of the plant. but still, you really don't need to use avid or any other chemical in my honest opinion.

I mix it with soap but never phed my mix...my plants will never see the light of the day only a T5 or HPS.. I'd never take my plant outside unless its gunna stay out there.. I spray with everything off then after I spray I turn back on the fans (not lights) & I turn on both 6in charcoal filters on & leave the room..

I don't know what's on the cut so I act like its infected with everything.. I have no clue how clean a grower the cut came from.. So I hit them with full force.. I've read way 2 many scary stories about bugs... I'm mainy treating them like they have BM's.. I focus on eradication of Broad Mites & Root Aphids.. I treat every new cut like they have them.. I really ain't trippin on a reg Cali mite but since I've never had or seen a BM or RA I don't know what 2 look 4 so I hit um hard as fuck so I hope I never see them death bugs... I think I've gotten a BM cut b4 but this treatment killed the basterd bug b4 he could kill my shit...

My small garden is major depended on & if I can't pull at least almost 2 p's I'm super fucked...it's extremely important I have a nice harvest.. After months of investment of bearly scraping by I need a fat harvest... Every run is all or nuthin... When I gamble I'm all in<<< everything!!

After smokin cookies 4 who knows how long? I figured out I can't get anything done smoking GSC..LOL
I'm so lazy after I puff a bowl.. It hits me 100% indica like & it's better 2 smoke it only at nite..after a bowl I stopped watering & started peepin the farm.. & I should b trimming but there still hanging there laughing at me..

I'm gunna smoke another GSC bowl & try 2 get back 2 work.. No job 4 me but I never get a day off!!! LOL

These damn plants always need sumthin even on a day I think I can chill ill take a peak at the plants & as soon as I unzip the tent I get a grip of squawking girls telling me there problems.. Who got what & who didn't get what.. Juss bitching & bitching "I need water" & "I need Food" & "u fead her fat ass yesterday & not me"

I had broad mites once on a few clones. They are easy to get rid of. All you have to do is dunk them in hot water, about 110 degrees F. The plants will take a hit but recover.
