Looks like things are turning around here. I should be able to continue posting my work.. It wont be as often and as large, but I will continue on.. It will be a few months before I get Garlic Knots and Black Forest Fire rolling, but for now, I'm starting some echinacea purpurea and Lychnis chalcedonia. The sister in law wont mind those.... :)

No slouching aloud.....right?? Fine. ;) I dropped six Black Forest Fire(Alien #4 x Aliendog f4) today. Should be a quick run with only a weeks veg. I've been so impressed by those ADf4 crosses, Jaws, that I just couldn't wait.

Back at.....this time for breeding only. I have 6 Black Forest Fire in bud, and 5 or 6 BFF seedlings. The mother is my Garlic Knots( Alien #4 clone only x Garlic Breath) and the father is Jaws' Aliendog f4. I should be breeding these for a while, at least until f5s. Not until then will they be released.. I'll be searching for huge yields with that unmistakable Alien flavor with some Chemdog and a little sweetness from the Garlic Breath. The mom was exactly that and adding the Adog f4 will only increase the odds.

Also growing some Echinachea flowers to plant outside next spring....

Quick update- Plants are showing sex after one week in bud, and 2.5 since breaking ground. This sucks, but looks like the three fat plants are males. I have two large males the same size, one bushing out and one with skimpy side branch growth. Both have a deep afghan stank to them. The weakest of the larger four is female. She smells the same, but not as pungent. All of these four suffered due to not having enough perlite in the soil. Roots didn't fill the 1gals before transplant 2 weeks later. Problem dealt with. One of the two small plants isn't taking to kindly to the Root's soil. Next round of 5 BFFs should be ready to go into bud 7 - 14 days from now.

4 Starting to bud.....2 - 3 weeks. 5 of 6 plants have same structure, smell, and leaf pattern, which is indica. All the plants smell like lemon pine and deep afghan. Up to this point, plants only using supersoil and R/O water. I plan on hitting them with a little Age Old seaweed and kelp next drink.

These are two more BFFs that were added last week, plants are only 12 days out of the ground.

Look like this batch of soil was a little too strong. This was a new recipe I was trying. Not only are my mmj plants showing signs of toxicity, my echinacea flowers are badly burned. Live and learn. Everything has been flushed so hopefully I end up with a nice product. Seeded both of these, along with another 2 phenos that may or may not be worth breeding.

Day 48.. Run off from the soil using R/O water came in at 4.5 a while back. Crazy low. I've been flushing with tap water, which is ph 8.4, for the last three waterings, watering every three days, and today was the first day I fed with 5-10-5 AO Bloom. Most of the fans are gone on all the plants....your classic yellowing leaves with brown spots from low PH. The two smaller, younger plants were both transplanted into Roots Original a few days back......they both have a while and should recoup in a few days.

The purpose of breeding the Alien 4 was to improve bud size and decrease the stretch while keeping the color and flava profiles somewhat intact, as well as staying within the Chemdog line. The cross will move forward with one pheno at this point....this pheno being like her mother in many ways....large, stanky, blue, Afghan Skunk inspired buds encrusted with resin. The other breeding pheno looks more like a heavy yielding sativa skunk, with buds so resinous, they look grey, and smell like oranges, cat piss, and rotten meat. She's quick in every way....growing, budding, finishing..... and has unbelievable frost layering on chunky nuggets. 3rd pheno is heavy A4, but the buds are larger(although most still smaller than a golf ball) and quicker to finish. She grows the same as the A4....stretchy but will yield solid when SCROG or super cropped. I personally love the smell, density, and looks of the buds but wont be breeding her because of the stretch. Pheno #4 has the largest buds and has looked like swag for weeks.....now starting to come out of her shell. Huge yield off her, either way.. I did not pollinate her....hope I don't regret it in a couple weeks.

I just installed Windows 8.1 on my computer....hate it. Many older programs don't work so I need buy W7 before I have more pics up.....sometime in the coming week maybe..

SOS- This is the Lemon Chem Kush. These plants were veg'd for 4 weeks before flipping, grown in 10gal plastic pots, organic, 11 weeks to finish, some pine/skunk phenos, some grape/skunk. A little stretchy after flipping. This first plant's main cola was pinched off.....nothing more was done to the plant. All the side branching stretched about 2.5 - 3 feet. Plants weighed in dry totals of 10 - 12 oz each. They ran out of nut's because I was expecting to harvest at 9 weeks. The Aurora Indica used in the cross was a small plant that produced baseball bat colas and huge yields of classic afghan pinesol. The DHOG elongated the colas and mixed up some good flavors.

Pics- Black Forest Fire, one of the breeders for f2s. Finished day 63. Lemon orange rotten skunky meat smell. This is by far the most resinous and stanky plant in the garden. The sativa leaner of Garlic Knots also had the rotten skunky meat smell, but without the citrus. Seeds should be done in a week or two.....I hit these really late. All of the BFFs have a lemon pinesol undertone, with one plant having nothing but pure lemon stank. The next pheno getting cut down smells like lemon, grape, and sweet skunk....definitely some interesting flavors in this line.

Black Forest Fire, ready to smoke. The flavor of this shit blows my mind. Think citrus, turpentine and Chemdog . Thanks again NT and Jaws, for helping out with this cross......fucking amazing! No bananas on this pheno. My Afghan pheno has a few bananas showing at day 58.. She is the only one throwing at this point and there were only 3 or 4 bananas in total.
