Haha the pics will be worth the wait I'm sure!

Thanks man! Lol - if you smelled those BK flowers you would probably go out and buy a pack of Bubblicious gum... mmm... Kushy bubblegum is the only way to describe the smell/taste.

I've got a number of BOG keepers now actually... Not sure if I should flood this thread with my pics and unleash the BOG madness.

I see in your sig you have Sour Strawberry Kush and Sour Grape going - I have 20-some teens of both of these that I've just begun sexing... Cheers!

I've actually noticed that BOG's genetics (at least the 5 strains I've grown) seem to take just a tid bit longer to reveal sex than most. If you mean under veg conditions, it seems like around the time when they start showing alternating internodes is when the preflowers will begin popping up, under 18/6 or 20/4. I have 25 total BOG teens between SSK and SG, been vegging for around 3-4 weeks or so, and still have 5-6 plants not showing.

Here's some more pics to do a little more cheerleading for the ol' BOGmeister.

That Blue Kush lady...
Bk1 05

Sour Bubble #3 - My queen. My pops refers to the aroma of this lady as "meatloaf & limes" - lol - Very savory aroma yet with a sour Pledge sort of funk.
Sb3 04
Sb3budshot03
Sb3b

Sour Lifesaver #2 - This may be the stinkiest lady I have. Offensively loud sour, fuely, sweet lime candy and rock hard buds. (I also have 2 other amazing SLS phenos including a very nice Sour Bubble leaning lady - it's been maybe 6 months, still can't decide on a keeper so I keep them all, lol)
Sls2 03
Sls2 01

Have more where that came from, but I don't want to take the thread over!

OK, the weather here prevented our uploads last night but we have the SG mom chopped at 53 days and she's chunky with thick frosting...

Thanks Myco...post all you like here! Back soon... :). Bog

Thanks man. I do most of my flowering in a mini-split cooled (and heated, can be cold as shit here) 4kw, sealed room with Co2. Organic soil/ROLS, #5 SmartPots, tomato cages. Usually flower 25-30 plants at once when I'm doing selections - yield is 3-5oz per plant usually... I think that pretty much covers it :)

Well...clearly, you've got it dialed and it's working for you! Those plants are beautiful! LOL@ not being able to choose a keeper after 6 months and just hanging on to all of them! I'm the world's worst for starting too many or taking too many clones with the idea of thinning them out as I go...and then just not being able to bring myself to do it! If they look good, I'll rationalize keeping them somehow...lol.

You say you're an organic grower... do you mix your soils, or use organic nutes or what? I've recently began brewing my own compost teas, and am LOVING the difference in my grows! Love to hear more detail on what you're doing if you don't mind sharing. Your garden looks exceptional! Thanks bro! Best, -Max :wacky:

Very stoked to see BOG here at the farm. I've grown a handful of his strains, have a few more going as we speak... BOG is a very kind soul, stands behind his product, and has some of the most stable, awesome genetics around - anybody new to these genetics won't be disappointed.

I was also very stoked to see the original LSD included in the latest drop. I've been waiting for this for quite some time! So I nabbed up 3 packs. 5 left folks... this is a classic that should not be passed up!

Here is some of the beauty you will see amongst BOG's stuff... Blue Kush

Whats the taste and high like on your Blue Kush, she looks beautiful.

BK tastes a lot like BMR with a strong blueberry flavor but it also has a touch of the Sour making it even more tasty than BMR.

What strain of yours has the most blue flavor, BOG?

..And this brings me to a suggestion (OMG...here it comes, right?!!) I would LOVE to see a breeder of your caliber tackle putting out a really great "holy grail" "PURE" blueberry strain! (Not just a bb crossed to something). Since the old original D.J. short genetics aren't available to us "regular joes" anymore, there just doesn't seem to be a really top shelf blueberry you can get your hands on these days. I think pretty much everybody would agree that the blueberry strains available today from D.J. Short and Dutch Passion leave allot to be desired...even though they are "market leaders". Attitude can't seem to keep the DJ Short gear in stock, so it seems to sell really well, & I've noticed they've been out of stock a time or two on the D.P. gear as well!

I'm betting you would have access to the real deal "old-school" blueberry genetics! With your connections, you could probably source a "holy grail" cut! Why not work on a pure blueberry strain, stabilize it, and give your gift to the world... BOGberry! ;) lmao! Seems like a good opportunity to fill a real void that's been left, and to put your mark on a classic and make it yours! I know of a few packs you'd sell anyway! Haha! Best, -Max :wacky:

That clone is DJ Shorts I imagine and I don't have access to that and I find it quite exotic. It is the darkest purple blueberry I have seen and it has the most blueberry flavor.

I really don't wish to bring any clones into my system that aren't proven mite free.

My Blue Moon Rocks are my version of a very blue bubble berry. My realm is bubblegum and kush but nothing is off limits.

We are pleased with BMR and Blue Kush as my two blueberry crosses and th BMR is a fine yielder unlike pure blueberrys that often too have nanner problems like some diesels.

The next project is Lifestar returning to complete my 16 strain line up. That doesn't mean there won't be more but I follow my intuitions and go with the flow taking things as they come. Thanks for the suggestion but DJ might be the guy to get pure blueberry seeds from.

I have toyed with the sour cookies idea of late. Thanks Max...

I fine grower you are Myco!!! ;). Bog
Thank you man, and you are a fine grower and breeder likewise :)

Haha yes, it can be difficult to cull beautiful plants - when in doubt, keep them! But yeah, Sour Lifesaver really is THAT good that I've held onto numerous phenos for the time being.

I can't call myself a true organic grower, because I do periodically use products that aren't OMRI certified. For example, sometimes I will feed a low dose of PBP Bloom mid-flower, or foliar feed with a not-so-organic product in veg. But I am leaning away from that, so many natural/organic options that are an even better option - with that said, I do mix my own soil, and also have just begun to recycle... 95% of a grow gets nothing but water.

Later on I will find a link to my soil recipe that I posted so you can see what entails my process - thank you for the kind words man :)
Whats the taste and high like on your Blue Kush, she looks beautiful.
Thank you! Taste is pretty much just like she smells, mostly bubblegum with a bit of kush, very flavorful and smell is very pungent.

The high is a more uplifting/creative indica, very little couchlock, really nice buzz!

Haha...I hear ya! Well, i had to take my shot! ;) lmao...I've been jonesing for a really good blueberry, but am having a bit of trouble getting one! I'm sure there are more worthy projects awaiting your attention! Your Lifestar sounds like a winner! Sour cookies sounds tasty, but I bet the GSC would be a bitch to work with! Stretchy, hermie prone, low-yielding. On the plus side tho, it's potent as hell and oh...that taste! I can only dream about it, but it sure sounds great! Best, -Max :wacky:

@Myco - that would be great bro! I'd love to see what your mix is like. Thanks!

I for one am stoked for the Lifestar project - SensiStar is an all-time fav smoke of mine, and Lifesaver looks to be a dandy of which I need to get my hands on!

Keep your eyes peeled for this one folks!

I could dig Sour Cookies - GSC combined with SB (assuming Sour Bubble would be the father) would definitely create some complex aromas/flavors and buzz, perhaps strengthen the yield of GSC a bit. And BOG - Sour Bubble tends to be dominate in most crosses, yes? I think this could be something definitely at least worth testing! :) I haven't hopped on the Cookie wagon, mostly because I haven't had legit access to a clean cutting, but I'd parlay on some Sour Cookies, no doubt.

Thanks Myco! That recipe looks great & very complete! I'm sure it probably was a "water-only" soil! Speaking of water-only soils, I have just ordered a supply of the new Ideal 420 Soil. Have you heard of it? Here's a link to their website: https://www.ideal420soil.com/ It's pricey at $49/bag (1.5 cu. ft.), but if it works as claimed, it wold be worth it IMO. You'd save time and money not dealing with added nutes, but more importantly to me...if the soil performs as claimed and you DO get the increases in THC and CBDs...then it's REALLY worth it! Has anybody heard of this soil or have any experience with it? Thanks! Max

Thanks man, it's been an ongoing work in progress of mine for probably close to 4-5 years now since I first dabbled with organic soil.

I have heard of it indeed, took a look at their site recently. The list of ingredients is definitely appealing, and I'd be curious to see the results just do in part to my love and interest for organic soil - but at the same time believe it or not it is still substantially cheaper for me to mix my own, and I also enjoy doing it myself for many reasons. Also, the heart and soul of organic gardening comes into play with recycling and re-amending the same soil for many cycles on end, which gives you the best results and efficiency. How cool would that be if you were to create your own mix from scratch from day one, and use the same dirt for perhaps years to come? It becomes part of you, in a biodynamic, hippie sort of way ;) I do suppose though, that somebody growing on a smaller scale, and that doesn't have the space to mix/"cook" their soil, this is a great product if it works as advertised - and maybe it will get even more people interested in organic soil/ROLS... and then mixing their own... I'm all for it.

As for the claims of higher THC/CBD etc... well... in my very honest opinion, the best results from cannabis, from resin content to THC% to terpenes to yields (within genetic potential), will be achieved through a dialed-in organic gardening/ROLS environment, period. And I will leave it at that!

Okay so, it may not be a big deal but, let's try not to get this thread too far off topic. As much as I love talking organic soil, this thread is to discuss BOG's catalog/genetics and I don't want to contribute to filling it up with the jibber jabber - take no offense!

Hello Everyone,

Bog Seeds is a Mom and Pop operation started in the year 2000. As High School Sweethearts we shared a love for the Cannabis. After our marriage in 1972 we spent many years growing medicine for ourselves, family and friends. In the 70's we were one of the first to have an Indoor Grow. In 2005, we published a Book titled “Bonanza of Green” on Indoor Growing with continuous production.

When OverGrow.com came online in 1999 BushyOldGrower (BOG) was #12 in the sign up list. BOG made himself known by posting beautiful pics of Cannabis and by talking with others about helpful growing tips. BOG has been referred to as “The Bubblegum Guru” because of the presence of Bubblegum in all the Original Strains. Sold worldwide for many years now our reputation has grown due to the success of the strains in a variety of environments. Our reputation of quality at a reasonable price has attracted both indoor and outdoor growers.

BOG Strains have competed successfully in many Cannabis and Med Cups. Sour Bubble is our Flagship strain for kush lovers. Sour Bubble won the 2008 Los Angeles Medical Cup, 1st place overall! In 2011, Bogglegum was 1st place Best Indica in the High Times San Francisco Med Cup.

Local NorCal Growers have proven our strains outdoors to be very hardy and mold resistant. BOG Strains finish early and produce copious yields of high quality outdoor medicine, even in moist areas.

We guaranty our seeds to your satisfaction and will replace any seeds that don't perform as expected. The hardiness of BOG Seeds has been acknowledged by many fine growers worldwide!
