Thanks for the kind words OYY!! I've been making a lot of changes to incorporate a truly living organic soil. It's been a long road, but there's no way I would turn back. Please stop back anytime. I'm always open to ideas and suggestions! This is an on going process!

Hi Lama! You aren't kidding about the less is more in an organic environment. My plants are getting 1/2 gallon of water misted on the soil every other day. They never have run off, and when I stick my fingers in the bottom holes they are damp, but not soaking. They were originally saturated with a few compost teas and top dressed with a 1:1:1 mix of neem, crab, and kelp and then mixed with ewc and covered with some leaves and stems. Both the last pict and the next were taken right at lights on, which might be part of the reason they are not as perky as normal. He's another quick pict at lights on.

And the seedlings - Diesel Fire in the low left is in dire need of a transplant, and I think is going to be my first bonsai experiment. We'll see.

for sure bro! I definitely will. I was hoping you were out here in Cali cause I run out from time to time and really won't smoke many growers herbs. Yours look just like how mine come out (clean burning and tasty). Most herb I come across is hydroponics that doesn't burn properly or taste good even though it may look potent. And the few people who ever do soil end up ruining it with pure blend pro or some other generic nute that makes everything taste similar. Anyway, cheers to you sir, keep up the great work!

Haha! I totally hear you! I'm way picky about what I smoke! I hate to be a pot snot, but I just won't smoke the hydro stuff anymore. Burns my throat tastes bad, half the time it gives me more of a headache then a buzz. I generally put soil grows with bottle nutes in the same category. I mean, to each their own, that's what makes the world go round, but I don't want any. Thanks for the kind words OYY!

Honestly Lama, they are not as perky as they have been. I'm not sure if that is because they are a little on the wet/cool side, or if it's because they haven't had as much aloe or SST's, and almost no silica.

Here they are at day 10 flower.

And I have a friend coming in town, so I had to whip up a batch of cannacaramels...

Btw, one of the Alpha Dawg phenos is ripper. Really nice clairvoyant high, with a good shot of kick to the head. ;)

Thanks 6! I was super excited both Cascadians were female! (although one male wouldn't have been bad either). I hear you on the having so many seeds. There are not a lot of strains out there I want atm. I need to check the Arc closer and see about sex. If they are not showing, I'm sure they will be soon. Good to see you!

As far as aloe, it has a huge list of benefits. I'm using the freeze dried 200x powder at a rate of 1/4 tsp per gal for both drench and foliar.

The ten main areas of chemical constituents of Aloe vera include: Amino Acids, Anthraquinones, Enzymes, Minerals, Vitamins, Lignins, Monosaccharide, Polysaccharides, Salicylic Acid, Saponins, And Sterols.

Amino acids found in Aloe vera include: Isoleucine, Leucine, Lysine, Methionine, Phenylalanine, Threonine, Valine,And Tryptophan. Some Of The Other Non-Essential Amino Acids Found In Aloe Vera Include Alanine, Arginine, Asparagine, Cysteine, Glutamic Acid, Glycine, Histidine, Proline, Serine, Tyrosine, Glutamine, And Aspartic Acid.

Enzymes include Amylase, Bradykinase, Catalase, Cellulas, Lipase, Oxidase, Alkaline Phosphatase, Proteolytias, Creatine Phosphokinase and Carboxypeptidase.

Aloe vera also contains Vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, and B12 along with Choline, Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc, Manganese, Chromium, Selenium. Additional elements found in Aloe vera include Copper, Iron, Potassium, Phosphorus, And Sodium.

Or where do you think they have most of their good stuff at? I know there's lots scattered throughout the various forums but looking for the large sum of it all.

Hey OYY! Is the powdered silica Agsil16? The only thing I'm really using silica for atm is cloning solution, and to emulsify neem and karanja, so I don't really go through much of it. Definitely though if you are going to use a lot, I think an Agsil product is something to look into. And hey you can eliminate another bottle. ;)

How do you do your compost teas? Do you follow Microbeman's recipes? Is the compressed seaweed Ascophyllum nodosum? And how is it powdered and compressed? Those processes could be destroying desirable compounds. Powdered Humic, make sure it is a humic acid and not leonardite. I would recommend BioAg's TM-7 and the other one that slips my mind atm by BioAg. Really good vermicompost and other quality organic materials should eliminate the need for powdered humics imho. Thanks Lama! This is a real hodge podge soil mix that I tried to top dress and use a lot of CT's to build soil biology. By the soil test about anything should probably be dead in there by now. Shows that the soil food web really works. The Cascadian is indeed Swami gear. It's a The One x Blue Moon Rocks hybrid. The ARC hybrid should be fire. Can't wait to see what they turn out. Thanks for stopping in big dawg! ;)

I used a standard Aloe, Fulvic, Silica recipe on this cutting - 13 days of being in soil.

Hey Frebo, maybe this will help, this is from BioAg's website. Quick overview of terms.

Terminology of Humus-related Materials

Humus--product resulting from decay of organic matter. Contains both humic and non-humic material.

Humin--the alkali-insoluble fraction of leonardite. (The usage of this term does not correspond exactly with the usage by other workers.) .

Humic substances--(plural) the collective name for the acid radicals found in humic matter. Typically separated from humic matter by alkaline extraction.

Humic acid--(singular) the acid radical found in humic matter which is soluble in alkali but insoluble in acid, methyl ethyl ketone, and methyl alcohol.

Humate--the salts of humic acids, collectively, or the salts of humic acid specifically. (The usage must be determined from the context.)

Fulvic acid--the acid radical found in humic matter which is soluble in alkali, acid, methyl ethyl ketone, and methyl alcohol.

Fulvates--the salts of fulvic acid.

Leonardite--a soft brown coal-like deposit usually found in conjunction with deposits of lignite.

Lignite--a type of soft coal.

Leonardite is not soluble. Essentially it stays suspended in water until microbial actions make it available for plants. Not saying it's bad, I just think there are a lot better options out there. Get some good compost/vermicompost/EWC and don't worry about your humics imo. Maybe a little fulvic foliar (Ful-Power) if you want an added insurance policy.
