Just look at the chart. You might be high. It reads left to right.
Rooting percentage 78%
Root mass 6.3
Above ground mass 4.4

It clearly shows that at 0.3%IBA the root mass has more mass than whats above ground.
gotcha, what i was curious about was it says that there is more root mass then above ground in cannabis.
so you premoisten the cuts dip it the put it in the cube

I dip my cut stem in water, shake off the excess and then dip the stem in the rooting powder. Then I use a toothpick and punch it into the rockwool to make hole. That way the powder doesn't come off as much.

I screwed up what I said. I use a tooth pick to pop a hole, then I stick the clone in the hole and take it out. I do this before I dip it in water. The stem sizes of my cuts vary and this insures a perfect fit.

This stuff is very hard to find. It took me over an hour to find a link to where it can be ordered. You get 1lb for $32 plus what ever shipping is.
Rhizopon #2 is the correct stuff, 0.3%IBA.

The powdered rooting hormones are a little scary. Sometimes when you open the lid, powder puffs up in the air. Who knows what that stuff does if you breath a little bit of it. :0

I have moms so I def have enough cuts to experiment with.
Been using the gels being readily available.
Problem I find u have to use the bottle right away or it always discolors, I never did into the container always use a shot glass.

The gels cause stem rot, they go bad and need to be stored in the fridge, they contaminate easily. With powder, you can stick them directly into the container without any worries.

I would really like to get people off the gel hype train and get them to do a few runs with the powder first. The powder just destroys clone gel of any brand.

I've had all 3 things happen that you mention with the gels.

I like to spread the rockwool with a pair of forceps before inserting the new cuts.

It's been years since I tried a powder...the rhizopon has my wheels spinning. Thanks Nightmare

@Delerium regarding the airpots and how to use them with coco. here is a couple pictures to help explain

Its hard to see from the pixs but I have a burn built up on the sides. the sides coco edges is about 2-3 inches higher than the middle of that pot were that trunk is. it creates a bowl that holds probably .25-.5 gals. Also its very important to hand press that coco to the sides of the pot 2-3 holes down so there is no weak spot that the water will find and eventually piss out of. if u do this u should have no problems using halos. hope this helps dude.
I feed about 1 gal per 30 seconds with a wand and pump no problem.
btw, this is the 5.5 gal pot.

I don't think air pots are really needed for Coco. Even perlite isn't even needed in a coco mix.

I did see a difference in soil with air pots but not coco. That's just what I've experienced.

I'm not sure on a drip system if air pots help or not.

yea i run 100% coco these days.
I can't speak on a drip system since i always hand feed, but i do notice that with coco, the more frequent u water the better.
I will say that I do notice a more dense root mass with coco and airpots then with regular pots by far when i do a root autophsy at the end. and like ur tag says stop taking care of plants and start taking care of the roots!! thats real talk man. a wise grower indeed.

I was convincing told the same thing, you can't overwater. Pots dry out a bit quicker
the ring would make it so much nicer.
Might have to test a mix and see how quick it runs out, have to put vermiculite in the mix, or it might drain too fast. Would take a timer adjustment.

Just had the pots in house, instead of buying smart pots
Repurposing equipment
Wondering how quick they'ed dry out.

I was reading about Hormodin. It was not getting good reviews, the reason I didn't post it. Rhizopon is being used by commercial nurseries, it must be good stuff.

I found a Bag of Ancient Forest in my garage, it's two years old. I thought I lost it. I brewed up a tea with it! It was good stuff when I used it years ago.

Local supplier didn't have stock. their alt was the Hormodin. I could call Rhizopon direct.
