Definitely check out Sativied's breeder thread--
these whorled plants are producing some amazing seedlings...

I found a sport! I found a sport! This is BoG's Lifesaver, from seed. This is the only plant I have ever grown with this deep purple-burgundy coloring throughout the main stalk and stems like this, too.

Turns out I do have a Sport this year, I just didn't know it;
consciously anyway, unconsciously, apparently: I did.

Sport1

As soon as it showed, I picked it for my main breeder male;
pruned it down to two big secondary stems,
and removed the south facing one;

rinse-lather-repeat--
where we're at today:

Sport2

He'll get pruned again shortly,
and directed away from the hills and walkway/workways--
like his wingman/backup...

Sport4

Kinda like this--

one hell of a nice garden u have geologic!
lol what'll u do with 75 lbs of bananas?

Thanx.

A bunch Heh of that weight is the giant stem.
We eat 'em, give 'em away, freeze 'em,
and my wife makes lotsa bananna bread and stuff;
got two more bunches that size following shortly--
and new ones seem to be forming...

This one will be ready in a month or two;
but I'll have to take it early--
it's a plant crusher:

NannersToo

Looks like a small piece of paradise you got there. :cool:

I never heard of "espalier" before, you just opened a can of new info and beautiful pictures for me, thanks.

Several of those antlers next to each other, like so ||||| from the top would result in a great shape for a canopy indoors. A bit like a half-pipe scrog.

I usually prune for mainstems--
but this is a fun little experiment...

Espaliering the cannabis gives a whole new view to the idea of canopy control!

I'm so flippin' jelly that you can grow bananas. I love them cooked slowly in butter for breakfast. Not the typical Cavendish eating banana, but the little burrito bananas.

Kind of looks like seven nodes, cause they are so tightly spaced. The top died after the third node, something might have ate it, kind of looks like it just withered and died.

I had two "self pruning" Moonshine Haze seedlings this year--
both are turning into nice little bushes...

never heard of self pruning, until this thread, really dont think anything ate the top off that plant. The strain was a vietnam black x nl #5 I picked up here at the farm a few years ago. Billygoat was having some health issues, not sure how that turned out. but I crossed that with chemdogs sister. wierd thing is one of the stems on that plant is trying to curl, I think you all gave that a name somewhere in this thread. Never seen that before either.
