tell me more about sleep :P

Morning farmers! Speaking of sleep. I usually sleep well but sometimes I go through a spell where I wake up around 3 am and don't go back to sleep until its time to get up. Hate that. I can't get up because it wakes up my wife and then we are both wide awake. To late to take a sleeping pill so I just ride it out. Before I retired and was among the working I would stress out over shit happening at work and dwell on it all night. I am a morning person so I never sleep in and am so hyper that I never take naps in the day. It never seems to affect me the day after a sleepless night. Thinking that some can just get by on less sleep than others.

Another hot day here in sunny Colorado. Will reach the upper 90's before the clouds move and cool things down. Had a good rains shower yesterday and the temps went from 95 to the mid 70's making it a nice cool evening sitting on the deck.

Harvesting my Super Lemon Haze and moving my Wi Fi into flower pretty much as I type this. Got a Chocolate Diesel from a friend last week, took cuts from her on Tues and will be moving her into flower in the next few days. Can't wait to taste her. Gonna be a while though....strain guide says 10 to 12 weeks. Thats a long fricken time....I like it when I get a good strain that finishes in 8 to 10 weeks. Sometimes you just have to be patient.

Time for a quick stop at the cabana and then down to the garden for a look see. Be well all.

Morning Farm, hope everyone has a wonderful day! Tomorrow I hit the road at the crack with my daughter to head up to SFO for the Max Yield show. It's been years since I've been up that way for pleasure.

Decided because I'll be at the show on Sat, to go to the Botanical Garden @ UC Berkeley on Sunday morning - anybody else ever been there?

I'm off to pack my suitcase and finish off some laundry! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.................

lemme know how that show is, ive been meaning to hit one of their events but never made it

G'Afternoon, y'all! Plumbers finished overhead water pipe replacement yesterday. It's sooooo nice to be able to turn water on without having to turn the main on first. How quickly we forget about the simple part of life. Also picked up a side job out of the deal. Seems plumber rides a Shovelhead(HD) and doesn't know how to work on it. And I just happened to go through HD Factory School in 1982.:D;)

Glad that all worked out for you Drifting. Not a Harley man myself, had one years ago and was hassled by the local cops a lot back in those days. Long hair, no helmet and a chopped Harley= fuck with the hippie time.

G'Morning, y'all! I know what you mean about the pigs fucking with you. I have been dealing with fuck with the biker time and add to that a motorcycle club patch on my back.
It was a bit harried at times but wouldn't change a thing.
Any hoo now it's time to start putting the house back together. Inspector from the county just signed off on our plumbing permit.:):):)

Buenos dias mis amigos.

No, but I love botanical gardens. I've been wanting to go to the one out at UC Davis for years now, too.

In shop repairs can cost a pretty penny. If not for my extended warranty I'd have been screwed with repair bills in the thousands. 1 partial trans rebuild + inner primary barring + stater + assorted cost over 1500 on dealership paper. That was 50k+ miles ago so there have been other spendy ones too.
Hell, save $120 easy just by ordering a tire online and taking the tire off the bike myself. Walk into shop with new tire and have them mount/balance.

Learning to do you own wrenching is part of the Harley Ownership experience. I do quite a bit of my own, but rebuilding a tranny isnt usually a DIY project.

Since we are talking weather. Monsoon season here. Been getting rain every afternoon the last few days. Gets to 90 by noon and starts raining by 1 or 2. Just now starting to cloud up for another round today. Got .6 in yesterday. Free water yea!! Been out in the veggie garden the last couple of hours. Addicting...once I get in, I can't stop. Love this time of year, I almost become a complete vegetarian except for a little chicken and fish. Just pulled the last of the peas and the green beans are going crazy to replace them. No fricking tomato's yet. Just like Chemdog #4. ha ha! Cloudy now...cooler....time to finish yard work. Have a good Saturday Farmers.

Well, the fires out here are starting. Right now it's the Sand Fire, just north of us, and then last night another fire started up in Yosemite park, I think they're calling it the Motor Fire.

No ash fall, and this morning no smoke to the north so I'm staying as positive as I can. I just learned that 25 homes were lost in River Pines, just upcountry from us, I feel awful for them. I've also mentally begun preparing an emergency exit plan. Hook up the travel trailer, fill it with the valuables and that way the animals can go in the back of the Excursion (that'll be fun, almost a dozen chickens+one rooster, a large dog and two uncooperative cats) and we'll be able to drive out the most valuable vehicles. The artwork will be fairly easy to grab, but I don't know where all my photo albums are, some are still packed away from when I moved up here and I don't know where those boxes are. I will tell them goodbye if it comes down to that.
