Thanks, Happy. I have never super cropped or pinched before, so I really appreciate the insight!

I hear you, RG. Bending em is probably the best bet. For now I think I'll raise the temps at lights out if I can. See if that helps slow this train down.

Day 15 of Flower:

Reduced day time temps to around 72 degrees F, and raised night time temps to around 70 degrees F. Seems to have helped a bit with the stretch. They are at 24.5 and 22.5 inches respectively. For perspective, they were 7 and 9 inches respectively when I flipped em to 12/12. With 2 more weeks of stretch to go, I am not optimistic that I can keep em at 30 inches without intervening via bending or pinching. I did notice flowers developing on the tops of the tallest one. Don’t know if that means it is nearly done stretching or not. This morning I’m trying a technique called CAD, or Cold Air Dump. The idea is to lower Daytime temps at sunrise to 2 degrees lower than the Night-time temp. We’ll see how that goes as well.

Still have em under the 400w Blue MH. I was going to throw over to the 600w HPS at week 3, but I’m holding off. Don’t want to encourage the stretch. The main stems are very stout and the foliage and roots look good, so the MH appears to be doing what I expected it to do. They are not so much lanky as simply taller than I would like. Side branching remains weak but is improving noticeably. Added a smidge of Liquid Kool Bloom to the mix. Just .24ml/gal to start. With the concentration of the feed so low, I just want to add a tad of P and K while keeping N constant. Beautiful plants to be sure.

Edit: The CAD thing is only for the first couple of hours in the morning.

Sound like your SKs are cooking RG! Expect to see a pic of those girls soon!

Thanks for the replies, guys!

The SKs are doing fine right now, Happy. Just getting worked by the stretch a bit. The tall plant is showing flowers in several spots now. The shorter one has only shown pistils so far.

Post em up, RG. The real point of this thread is to get some information out on this strain! :)

Day 16 of Flower. 3X the height at flip and then some . Refused to bush out at all after topping and LST. 24 and 26.5 inches respectively, with no sign of slowing down. Both are showing flowers now.

I’ll prune the lower branches and fans this afternoon.

At this point i would strip everything not not getting direct light, and lolly pop her, she will pay you well for your work.

Thanks for the input MRB! One thing I don't mind is work. Do you recommend taking the lower shoots and leaves all in one move, or spread out the work over a few days?

you are almost exactly where i would strip the whole thing, you are probably either in full flower, or will be shortly. i try to strip everything right before pre-flowering comes to an end, that way i don't have to keep doing it.

Thanks for the insight, MRB. Just one last question: Do you take any fans near the top to open the plant up to more light? I meant to ask RG and Happy the same thing, and forgot to ask. From what I have read, taking healthy fans is controversial among growers, but I have some massive ones near the top.

Teaching your children foreign language is controversial too, because of lazy stupid parents who wont take the time to do it, and feel threatened by others who put in work. but i digress.... imo stripping is VERy much strain specific, looking at your setup, you got a little leggy in the center, next time i would lst, scrog etc, you will get a lot more from this kush plant, as its not going to produce huge buds. . id strip any big fans blocking bud sites, but i would only do it now, and i wouldn't mess with it again.

i looked at that again, dont strip TOO many fans from the top, but just play it by feel, if you see some nugs you know would pick up huge weight with a little sun, & there s a fan there, chop that bitch. in hydro earlt=y fan leaves are not as imoportant as soil etc. you have a constant supply of nutrients .

Well... I topped em and did a four way LST and the bitches stretched on me anyway. I reckon when it comes to cuttin... the bitches got it coming! :D

I'm gonna strip the bottom and evaluate the fans on the top. Might as well go for it. This grow has pushed me on the learning curve anyway, and if nothing else, these girls have been resilient.
