i know its been said but take half of them put them on a paper plate and leave them out for 10-14 days then try popping them. some seeds can pop inside of buds like was stated others need to dry out a little. ive had seeds not pop so i dried them off left them out and then soaked them again and like half of them popped

I dont think its over pollination. I imagine you had to fertilize heavily with a big pay load. most likely just thick shells. They dont need to age or dry or freeze to be viable. I have seen plenty of volunteers pop straight out of a fresh bud . If it were me id just let em soak and change the water if it get stagnant. They will crack eventually.

Believe maybe a few in dirt. More soak I will need to re pollinate and make more ... As this is unacceptable ! Thanks Oom.

Good info. Kid. Will try that also. Thank you M

U believe the over pollination of a plant could create to hard of shells? You never stop learning. A open mind is a gracious mind. That's why I posted this I knew great minds think alike ! It's like a challenge to fiquire out . Much love and thanks to all if u. M

Yah I know I have to stand in rain and wind to answer. Nice storm. At least still have power. Aloe huh your likin
I have a good feeling the aloe will give u a response. Truly believe the stuff is magic. Something I've been looking for a long time. If anything will work I bet it's that. Wouldn't be against a little scuffing either. Good luck!

Thanks I will give that a whirl as well ....its all the sudden became a test on what works ... M

are they new seeds or really old? if new i have read 4-6 weeks dry time at room temps once shucked from buds.my own seeds needed 4 plus weeks before i get decent germ rates and @ 6 weeks i get 99% to pop.kidtwist has sent me seeds right off the plant :) and i try popping half with about 40-50% germ rate and then 3 or 4 weeks later ill get 100% with his stuff.same with gage green, they sent me testers before with notes to wait a few weeks and well i didnt wait and those did not pop,a few weeks later the remaining seeds were fine.
i think the fridge will preserve them almost exactly how they were coming off the plant

M, you can also try soaking in aspirin water, the hormones in aspirin have been known to help seeds pop in regular gardening. Worth a try. Good luck!

if they went into fridge right off the plant its like they are 2 days old still was my point. 4 to 6 weeks dry time @ room temps 68f to 72f is what I read or maybe saw a vid from our fav boy arjan.ill see if I can find it when I get home ....tuesday :)

actually they sat out for a few weeks ..then fridge ...going to go back to my old ways ..downstairs cool ..dark area ..always worked ...sometimes u try to many new things .. I always tell the gals at work ...go with your first gut feeling and don't let the client talk u into other ...then u start questioning what u know was right to begin with .. took me a few years to learn .. Thanks @sixstring be looking forward to it... Got Snow? not funny huh ! M

Positive note the cross with ww x Black tuna has panned out ...thought I had a sterile male in the Black tuna ..was bummed then these not popping ...hes a looker too ... Good news ...M

Best of luck ...lots of pepperoni and sausage here ...no rose trimming needed and they always get the grapes right before I do.... M

Good info. So after harvesting them put in dark place for about 6 weeks then fridge. What about using rice mixed in with the seeds?

The aloe has the same compounds the aspirin has. Some acid that I can't spell. Not dissing the aspirin but it brings far less to the table than aloe. U will get it my lady! Of that I have no doubt.

Thats what have always done ..Thanks Lollipop

i see greenage in the husk so i'd say that was a viable seed, and i can also see that the shell looks pretty damn thick. quite possible that those are just going to be some tough shelled seeds.

peace:)

My friend @JAWS finally got back from goofing off...;) ..and said this ...I think interesting because I never knew if that was thick for a shell ...plus the green ..its living ..I was looking for moisture... Thanks Bud....
