Good evening Owls how is everyone doing this ever so fine nite? I don't know what it is but these buggers seem to have a taste for pot farmers and specifically for ME!!! While moveing a few of my mothers outside due to "MINORS" and digging in my soil pile (mostly coco and perlite with some new bags of touper and basement mix i disnt use) they had a feast on me I got hit by many bites a few from the black house two from the orb-weaver one wolf spider who left her fang when i squashed it (I say her because the orkan man said they have just laid eggs and are over running my state with bites protecting them) that one hurt like hell. I then got bit later this evening by one i was sure was a hobo spider but was just an average garden spider or grass spider, they look exactly the same in color and design but reverse the pattern from body and torso. And last the worst one of all I was bit by the yellow sac spider, if you don't know this one it is somewhat like the albino black widow when comparing venom I can tell you fist hand it does not hurt AT FIRST then necrosis sets in and HOLY FUCK IT HURRRRTS my hand got twice the size of normal within minutes this is what told me go to the er as I figured it was just another who cares bite NOPE IT'S NOT I have been thru the er and got a shot for it they are the one's who identified the bite since I didn't know it happened until the pain set in. I'm sure it is only because I am experimenting with permaculture on one half acre in the middle of the city, so I am like the only place where the foliage is lush and the other bugs they eat are in abundance so i have become the breeding ground for all the city's spiders GEEZUS it's bad here about to break the perma cycle and the law of nature in genral and napalm the whole dam yard (But wont) i am however going to try all the of the natural things that Mr Bill Mollosin has suggested so i will start by getting a truck load I shit you not a Truck load of diatomaceous earth sometime next week hope this will rid me of many things that should not be in such great numbers it is making them more aggressive for sure I have held wolf spiders in my hand when living in another state normal Non aggressive unless provoked as far as my experience with them but these bastards actually chase and lunge at you NOT COOL!!! LET THEM ALL DIE I SAY!!! We are 3 times the normal number of all spider species in oregon and it is getting bad. Their natural predators such as the spider wasp are nearly extinct as well especially bees!
The dam things. Here is a picture of the wolf fang under my scope and the hand that was bitten by the yellow sac and give me just a few minutes and I will get to all your wonderful postings whody Hoo everyone.

Holy Shit @KiLoEleMeNt! Dangit Man! Looks like you been put through the ringer the last week or so! First the garden need some serious attention and in the process of getting things straight you been attacked spiders! Would not want to be in your shoes with that pain man! I have had my fair share of rainy stormy days, weeks, months and years even! Thats why when I am riding high I enjoying and pray the fall dont hurt as much as the last one! Anyhoo! Just doing my thing here @ work and have wifi tonight so i decided to do some cannibis studies and pass on through here Hope things get better for you kiloelement! We are supposed have a awesome meteor show tonight...except its a little foggy
Here on the coast so i am gonna miss it! Oh I got a ?....So I have a empty room @ home and was considering making the closet my curing room....And maybe the rest of the room to keep some clones and mothers...But my 1st priority is to get the closet in prepared for curing....if nobody minds can you give me a few pointers on what equipment may inhance the process of curing...as i understand you can grow the bomb but if its not cured right fuhgetaboutbit as the italians say...So rather than fly byvthe seat of my pants and running around trying to prep and get things right last minute I want to plan this so it all comes out right...I have done this about 20 years ago...All i remember was hanging my bud to dry in a dark cool place and maybe put them in brown paper bags @ some point and than jarring that up and letting it sit in there for a week or so and opening that up about once a day...The memory is vague however...this was way back when prop 215 hit...than I got tired of losing jobs for testing positive..I conformed for a bit because of other legal issues...but now I am back @ it and I am not stopping this time...I give 2 shits about testing positive or keeping synthetic urine around....I am sure you guys know the drill...I got to the point of hating taking Opiate based pills for my chronic back and leg pain...makes no sense...I can come to work under the influence of powerf pain meds that is destroying my body and is bad in every possible way...but I cant ingest cannibis...something that is virtuely harmless to my mind body and soul...I juat dont get it...Anyhow got that off my chest...Happy Farming to all!

shit,I've got the heat issue's again.takung no risks this time, been and git some liquid ice,and also some h202.kilo can I run the 2 together or is liqud ice bio, bennies style else the h202 will wipe everything out won't it.

Hey Keiksweat. The H202 will indeed kill your benies, I think?!? but I would use it when you do swaps if you can spare the water and the time to do it correctly at 24hrs the stuff really only allows the water to hold more oxygen rather than makeing it nor does it last for longer than anyway I have used it a few times it literally makes your water suck air lol In my exp plants need less oxygen in the rez if they are simply run with a waterfall to the rez to do this just put your system on bricks leaving the rez on the floor and put the exit tubes in a 3" pipe and let it fall to the rez rather than the small flow an rdwc setup usually has then the H202 would be pointless nearly making a air pump unnecessary but i would still keep it in the works. I see no real reasonother than u can if you want to put H202 in rdwc or any ebbing system for that matter

@KiLoEleMeNt my neighborhood has been under attack by the wolf spiders as well! they have mutated and are way bigger then I have seen before!
There was north at ran across my living room with a abdomen the size of a golf ball it scared the shit out of me!!
Then I found another same size two weeks later!
Dam bro I am sure iv got some of those in my yard just haven't gotten a chance to take a look around rather not anyway lol. I would have shot that bastard with a scat gun lol or called animal control and said it was a cat lol no way I am getting near those man iv seen banana spiders in LA the size of normal dogs and I am very glad to have moved from there lol the bugs get huge in that area but the bayu there is nothing to stop anything from living forever and getting the size of cars no thanks to that lol

Thanks for commenting, now for the questions. Top rung is at 37", plants at time of picture were 42". Last time they finished around 5', have about 5 1/2 feet of room, bend `em over if need be. Pots are called 5 gallon, but don`t hold that much. I am using Cogo`s and Sierra Natural Science for nutes. Keeping the little popcorn buds trimmed off, this should put the growth into the larger cola`s.
Nice I really liked that natural science used it for an entire run once the only thing I did not like was needing to swap rez so often I got a week before the first signs of aging would show by smell and color and this got expensive fast with the amount of water I use it for soil would be killer I bet

Spiders, spiders you say ? Really happy it`s you and not me having to deal with `em. I DO NOT like spiders, especially big ones. Make for good target practice though.
Yeah no kidding it's terrible

Good evening or morning...or what ever its is where you are! @KiLoEleMeNt .....many thanks for taking the time to help out and posting up those pics! It was a awesome guide to get me through the process. Hopefully I did not hack them to bad as I decided to lolipop them as well or @ least my attempt to... you hit right when you mentioned scrog...that is exactly where I am trying to end up....I was able to take a few pics before I ran off to work...I was busy running around getting what I needed to transplant them on the next week or so...The blue dream has dedinitely taking off very well...faster than I thought...The Mango Kush is not doing bad @ keeping up with them, just not as bushy and the Sunset Sherbert is responding as I expected so I have a little bucket under it to bring up to the hieght of the others...I have been learning most of this on the fly...I am learning that there are a million ways to skin this cat if you will and everyone has thier very strong opinion about things....I feel I am a good judge of character and can tell when someone is bull shitting or being arogant or whatever...And I dont feel that here...So thanks to all for helping out!
bro they look great. Good onya mate you have the touch I see didn't hurt then one bit. They look like they are thanking you for it infact. The only thing that I can find is space for them if the go boom lol
I am always happy to help and I agree everyone does have some strong opinions on this subject since growing is relative they are all correct the problem is that you have to go through getting their junk swaped out to be a good learning experience and a solid method of growing for you as I say all the time what works for one may fail for many and what fails for many can easily work for one it's the going through the motions to find what works for you that makes anything else matter IMO

Eh it's not so bad I am a glass half full kind of person who has been thru some of the worst things the way i see it is the bite could have hurt but then nothing and I got real sic instead of the way it went. I will be fine. The garden however is getting better and better the pathogens are nearly dead "I Think" can never tell with the black fungi it will come back full boar if you miss one spec but i just keep tearing down scrubbing down and putting it all back together just have to keep on it and keep my spirits up.

Hmmmm curing not sure I want to give that info out but I will saying first that this is one of the most controversial subject to ask about. Everything is provision and Detailing when it comes to drying the medicine. Furthermore the first thing that I can share is the longer it takes to dry the better the taste and smell if cured correctly after that. I have been thru a lot of work and time and hay buds trying many people's methods of the process and from what I have learned from them and the books didnt have the results I was looking for so i improved on them for my own personal preference. Letting me tell you how to get the best results is not what's going to happen if you're looking for a few tips for a good process and the individual way I do it may be a better way to look at it. So first keeping temperature of 75° is crucial to the medicine drying even this I know for sure some say hotter some cooler but I am very sure that 75° is a good idea to go with. The way i dry is not of any of the average techniques it is more time consuming and labor intensive so take it for what it is MY WAY not the right way i honestly don't think there is one definitely a wrong way tho lol. So to start I first cut down as much as I can fully wet trim in 30 minutes and trim the medicine fully then take it completely off the stem leaving the top cola intact and put it in a dry rack (see pictures) then I have a small fan, dehumidifier and small heater in the closet I use. I put the dehumidifier and fan on the floor and the heat on roof double checking every day that they are working properly and hooked up to a day night temperature and humidity controller setting the heat and dehumidifier on constant humidity at 50% RH and the temps at said 75° F. After it is cut I leave it to dry nearly to full dry and they are crispy on the outside checking the dryness on the outside I think is more important to me and my process as it goes in and out of dry rack a few times over. The next step is the re wetting and dry again (It re wets itself from the center) I take the bud that is crispy on the outside and I mean real crisp and flakes off not just it crunches, then put it in a canister most people use Kerr jars and lid but i think baby formula containers are the better option for me. Now check it out every few hours when no longer crisp let sit for another hour or so and put back in dry rack (dont let it go to long will lose some stank repeat until the re wet only gets a little bit moisture and I will let dry for one more day after then back in canister for a month (sometimes this is hard a week is more reasonable) the longer the better as I said ag the beginning. I am sure that if you have good luck with the expermentation useing these seeps and what you learn from others. Then like me everyone else will have to say you have the best and Dankness of the stankness I get that from other growers even and they all have to know how i do it and because of my ways I tend not to say the main reason is this way goes against the majority beliefs that the stem holds more stuff for the plants to make more stank and the leafs hold it in when drying <100% BS for sure that and the wet trim is harder and messy plus most do not like to re wet I say it is best but if done to early it can mess it up to know for sure wait till it is real crisp and the stem snaps. Not to mention I have left a few things that others do completely out of the loop and many more reasons. However to the day I get nothing but holy shits and OMG'S with a few hoe do you do that's going about it this way and I learned most of it from a tobacco farmer from southern California and has been doing this for many many years now never has failed him or me (after I figured it out properly it's not easy to do it this way) if i had my best guess @yooper420 has a simpler method and a more common one to start with that you could use much easier as well as take way less risk but one thing i am very opinionated about is leafs I don't think anyone should leave it on just the buds should be in the dry room if they insist on leaving them i still suggest that it gets cut down like you would a clones leafs like I said tho you should definitely get many many more opinions and use what you like and fund works for you and it's going to take you a few rounds of harvest to get it down well for uk just as it did me and everyone else if they say it has been bomb from first try they are lying or have really shitty weed in their area lol. I just want to be clear this is just my way and is in no way the rite way nor do I think there is just one way to do it well hopefully you will find the best of all the second time around or so hope this helps atleast a bit lol let me know if you have any questions or need me to explain anything further on my ways to make it bomb GLHF

So as far as I know there is no cure for minors has anyone ever experienced them and did you cure them? It's honestly not important anymore cuz I opted to put them in an outdoor seating area for plants lol but it would be nice to know for a later date?

hi kilo, cheers for the idea,do you mean ,place my 4 plant tubs on brick's elevated and keep res below water level.the return pipes at bottom of potz and rez.do you mean put return pipes at top of res for waterfall effect?do ya have a photo by any chance CUs I've never seen it yet like that.another kiloelement hybrid is it...goodstuff mate cheers

oh,got a bit of root rot, that's why h202 mate.seems to be working well...

Going to make a new propcell today got an old t5 and lizard tank rapid rooter tray just laying around some soaker hose air hose and manifold 4ft heat pad and it all will come together nicely I think. It is alot smaller than the one i normally use but think it is still perfect to be a care free seedling area and true propcell these have worked magic for me for years hope you can work the details out for yourself as i am hopefully going to have a Patton on this within the next few weeks waiting for the package to arrive today and I am going to fill it out and ship it back today rite after I fill it out so don't want someone smarter than I killing me dead in the water before I can even try lol

@MIKEZILLA here is some bud shots for you to see i believe that curing has a bit to do with color and look as well as smell and taste. Not sure if that is actually fact or my own opinion. First one is my favorite things in life at the moment second two are lamb last two are berry bomb both can stink a room up simply opening up the container :^D it smells like berry skunk in here now yayy

@kieksweat yes this is a kilo hybrid and you hit it on the head put your return on top of the pots and fill from bottom of them you may need to upgrade your pump and here is a pic of my bio system just took it down when I did my cleaning and was just about to post that I was happy to announce the arrival of the thread starting but this happened to need be addressed first and then I will need three weeks for my culture to repopulate the lava stone and become colonized enough for the plants since I only plan to top off and add tea once a week never dumping or useing nutes next month bro next moth for sure let's keep your fingers crossed for me. It's a shoty pic and only mokd up for you but you get the idea the last pic is the benies I kept they say you can let them dry alive and will come back full boar if you are set up correctly which is where the waterfall comes in play it is just better this is my diy cheap ass 007 for the poor man version of MPB the only way to grow I think now that I know what it is can't wait to get the 10k for my system saved up

Well Owls Club I apologize for all my lateness and long no space postings I'll try not to do that if you look I usualy try and look somewhat profesional in my writings.
I should have more time for the club now that I am not pulling out everything every day very tedious I tell you! So much so that had a few 48hr nights in the beginning fights with it honestly it has been on for close to a month now, and its just me going back and forth between the two of the top ring problem rooms that you all get to see, It isnt too fun but funny enough to watch I bet.

additionally only one of my other areas got anything recently and it was not the same pathogen. Didnt need A Brainerd to fix it just replace the rez to a clean one with a liberal dose of bleach for 12hr's as it was only the slimy brown film that everyone gets constant in hydro gardens when over feeding or getting the water to hot!!! and I have been looking at everything with led flash light and zoomed pics to find not anywhere else.

Strange really when you think about it. It's nit as if I was carrying it or I would be sic as hell nor do I hold the abilities to carry such a pathogen. Not to mention I would have given it to everything hydro since I touch everything and search most each and every plant once a day for any sign of issue or bug since I had such an issue with my flowers having spider mites when i moved to this property , I truely would suspect that if this were the case eveything would have gotten it the same and in sequence one after the other simply because of what I think it is and don't tend to second guess myself on subjects as this one, and I am the only one who has been thru the rooms other than my wife and she is always right next to me doing exactly what I do to help lighten the load of four patients each and two growers at max load with an extra helping of a highly motivated mmp shop owners green room I call the factory just these things put together keeps me busy as all get out let alone needing to do with the implementation of a pathogen but nope just these two.!
Maybe I just keep the others cleaner or perhaps even the area that they are in on the property but it is a host fungi so by rule of thumb something alive or human would of had to touch them in some way just never really know I guess.

I am curious if maybe beetles or spiders can have this? This is why I like to post things like this as in depth as i do now I have a solid thought to run with and research hopefully it will be the answer to the riddle.

I have to admit I am a bit more than just a little stumped on where we got it from it is not a common spore anywhere in the states? I believe that it is "The black yeasts", This is a group of melanized Ascomycete fungi, this is a species that has adapted to grow in humans or in other hosts such as hydroponic plants really any living wet being . To survive in an otherwise unhospitable environment as 75% of America is for these freaks of nature.

They can dominate almost anything, and are top tier
within the fungal kingdom, the black yeasts fall into the Eurotiomycetes, which include a wide group of human pathogens such as Coccidioides posadasii and Aspergillus fumigatus which all commonly make the host very sick or healthy in very minutyiae cases.

Several black yeasts, members of the subclass Chaetothyriomycetidae and order Chaetothyriales, are among the most pathogenic fungi known to date; which is what I believe it is specifically these species possess a potential to cause fatal brain infection in perfectly healthy individuals. Their significant invasive potential is expressed in a diversity of clinical syndromes in immunocompromised but particularly in immunocompetent patients. My new goal is to generate genome assemblies and annotations for 15 species of black yeasts that have been selected to represent important pathogens to look for since you can hardly tell it is happening at first, then documenting host shifts, and phylogenetic diversity. In the end creating a new perspective on them and hopefully finding A killer of it that kills first shot without any issues in the development of the cannabis specifically genealogy or even the DNA if that was or is even possible to have happen.

The best I can do for now is what i am already doing as far as anyone who matters on the subject at hand and there inlies a problem for within doing this I could possibly get/give/spread it, then and be sic as hell but in theroy it shouldn't have any effect on me or my immune system at all since I am MRSA positive from a botched surgery when i was at a very young age. The question will always be there in my head tho, Can it effect me is it already????

Well blabbering your ears off enough for this morning see you all around midnight GLHF

@KiLoEleMeNt digging the blue ribbon...

Oh bro No.......... I feel like you are referring to the soil blue ribbon :^( glad you like it cuz I wont touch the stuff with a ten foot pole anymore.

Due to seeing In my experience with it so many nasty little buggers like thrips and white fly nit to mention they store everything under the sky and are left out under the sky, get rained on, seeds float in, SPORES also and who knows what else it may get that could kill your plants. It was a really nice line in my area but something is wrong or different with it and I had issues big time indoors.

If i remember correctly

I'm pretty sure garden and bloom has temporally dropped them from their line or put them on hold as they would say. for nearly a year until they got rid of a white fuzzy mold they told everyone including me, it was organic benies then had to refund about 75k across the country. A few weeks later since everyone who used it had dead girls within hours of useing the batch I got which smelled of Monkey shit lol.

I have been thru a lot of the stuff and I used to love it but believe that it was about the only thing causing my indoor to have issues two or three years ago don't get me wrong it is not bad if you get a clean batch (rarely did I ever get one clean) and using it in outside pots or ground holes is another story all together and would probably have the better results of the many lines to choose from nit to mention it most likely has been revamped since then.

When I used it last I mixed it in with my outdoor soils with roots and toupper with the blue ribbon on the last year it did outdoor. That went very well just would never ever put it inside again. Due to the same year my indoor soils all got bugs of one kind or another and didn't come back when I switched from it.

I am curious if you saw and are referring to the blood meal I have for my Bio tea it is made by Kellogg whom is sold by garden and bloom who also sells blue ribbonView attachment 529173 ?

My watering method is probably going to raise a few eyebrows, but it works for me. My girls (and boys when I have `em) are watered from the bottom only in the big pots. Never had a bug problem in 3 years of indoor grows.

I completely understand and agree with your methods wick systems are a sinch to make sure you have seen them i personally like to use ebb and flow systems as you can see bottom feeding is the best way to alot of people who have tried it. First and foremost because the roots then feel like they need to seek out the water as they do in nature creating a proper root system if you can keep up with transfers and media costs

Drying and curing, my method. I cut off whole branches and hang them from clothes pins on the drying racks that I made. This is in my basement, which is at 62 degrees. An oscillating fan sets across the room lightly blowing on them. Takes around a week, give or take a couple of days. When dry, the buds are trimmed off into glass jars with 62% Boveda humidity packs in each jar. Jars are burped daily for 10 days to 2 weeks, then every other day or so for another 2 or 3 weeks. After that, burp `em 4 or 5 days for a couple weeks. This is not set in stone, use your head and check the buds out. Once they are cured to your liking, have at `em. Buds kept with the Boveda packs last for months. Have some that are a year old and are like fresh cured. I DO believe in using the Boveda humidity packs.

As for a wicking system, I use clay saucers (cover the holes in the bottom of pots) and small clay pots as wicking instruments.

Uh those nuggs look proper as fuck!! The color really shows they are top notch!
This must have been from before the pythium struck?

Good day all! @KiLoEleMeNt Hey man just want to give you props for taking out the time to guide me through this edpedition I am on! The other day you guided me thhrough topping and I took it upon myself to lolipop them...That was 2 days ago...So i have to give you an update....I usually open the tent. @ 7am when I get in from work...and Its the same...Its like am I going to open it up to a bunch of wilted dead leaves and plants or Am I gonna smile?! And smile today I am! Fricken incredible how much these plants have taken to the tent.....So today when I opened her up I was blown away...As i shared a I built a trelis to scrog these ladies....Which I did saturday...I have had to puush the netting up a good 6" since than to delay them from the net...I am waiting to transplant them from 1.5 gallon hard pots to #3 geo pots which I have planned for saturday...So when I opened her up today I was like holy shit they are beyond the net today! Sorry I cant post pics because my memory is full and need to DL the pics I have...anyhow the biggest change I have noticed are all the growth that I did leave on them has literally exploded in 2 days...Some of the leaves are literally 8"s long, but all have gone coo coo for cocoa puffs on me...So here is where I am @ with this very young crop...Saturday I plan to tranplant them and than begin to "scrog" them...dont know if I ever shared the particulars of the tent with you all...any its a 3x3x6 tent, 400 watt air cooled light and using a Phillips Ceramulax w/ Alto technology whatever the hell that means...Lol..I started then out withh a 400 watt OptiLume that came with the set up....However I came up on these phillips 400 watt lamps and have an endless supply of them...My understanding is that it is better to use MH when vegging, which I planned to do but when the Hydro store was out of them....which somewhat led me to find a hydro store that I felt comfortable with and felt they were not just going to sell me a product because it is on the shelf...So i did some exploring...Went to about 4 or 5 shops looked around purchased a thing or 2 just to get the feel of the stafff....Than somebody recommend a shop only opened a few months call Oaklan Garden Supply....I have been more than pleased with the knowledge, pricing and customer service that this place has...So if anyone is in SF Bay Area and has not tried OGS I recommend giving them a try....My understanding is the owner was once a instructor @ Oaksterdam...Although it is a half hour drive from me I will use them 100% no matter what...anyhow just thought I would share that..back to the tent...So looking ahead Saturday I will transplant and begin the scrog...I am getting concerned about my 6" cieling...My understanding is that the plants will double in growth once in flowering...i had the light @ 18" from the tops however as I explained they are stretching rapidly...I am bit concerned about running out of room down the road and burning the plants because they are to close to the lights...right now from the floor up the tallest stands @ 2' and the light is 12" away from tops...I will adjust back to 18" here in a bit...I think I may be also pushing the grow space limits by running 4 plants instead of 3 time will tell...The reason I went with 4 instead of 3 in case one died off...but that is not the case...One option I have thought of is to veg them another 2 weeks and than put them outdoors for the flowering and getting another grow going in the tent...I believe I will have enough time to put them outdoors. The Blue Dream has flowers in about 55 days or so...so if I took them indoors until 9-1-15 They should be ready to harvest late October which I think should be fine...the Mango Kush has a flowering of 63-72 days...I think I may be pushing it a bit if I put that one out..and the Sunset Sherbert I have not found info on it just yet...but I woukd assume the time cant be to much different...
