Every time I get in the tent to water or do whatever, I come out with my forearms and fingers all suck together and covered in stickiness. Gotta love Bodhi....

Thanks! It actually smells exactly like you'd think a hybrid of Sour Diesel and a hash plant would. Best of both worlds-type thing. Nice and sour fuel and stinky, but also deep hash smells, too. It smells GREAT.

I dunno if you've seen that post from Bodhi on Breedbay or not, but I guess he got a fake Skunk VA and used that in the initial cross he did to make the Clusterfunk. Those are the seeds I have. He said that the first "Skunk VA" he used was more Sour Diesl-ish (which is fine with me; l LOVE Sour Diesel), while the real Skunk he obtained later grew more OG-ish.

Whatever. I'm not mad haha.

Im sure both cuts are fire and probably are the same cut, just years or genetic drift, being cultivated in different rooms etc.
Its fun to read about the lore etc. at the end of the day its all subjective.

how long are you taking them? Are they 7 weekers? The reason i ask is i have testers of apollo x headband, lemon diesel and cali o that i haven't run because bodhi isn't releasing them, i did the bbhp and silver mountain instead. I hear the apollos are very quick.

Well, just from looking at them, they've appeared finished for a week or so. But checking the trichs with a loupe, I'm still not seeing any amber. I started 12/12 on December 26, switched to 11/13 two weeks later. I'm gonna take a really good look at them with the loupe tonight. I have bad eyesight, I'm hoping it's not affecting my ability to see the trichs properly. Like maybe I'm just missing the amber? But yeah, they're definitely in that 7 week range.

Two problems. One, they're not gonna yield super-well, but that's my fault. Because I have four strains running, my canopy is really uneven, so the Apollos were at least 2.5/3 feet away from the light for the last three weeks or so. I set them on some two gallon pots a few nights ago to get them closer to the light, but I think that's a "too little too late" solution. Shoulda done that weeks ago. Also should have staked and tied weeks ago. Dint do that until a week ago today.

And two, I topped them. I get the feeling that they really would've preferred to remain un-topped, probably would've increased the yield. Like I said in my log, I wasn't even planning on flowering these out, just wanted to get them to 60 days and then take clones. Topped them to increase branching so I'd have more options of where to take clones. Then the plan changed and I flowered them without even taking clones.

Whatever. Live and learn. The thing that worries me is that I don't want them to go too long. I like Sativas, afraid if I let them go much longer, they'll end up being too heavy of a high. I'd prefer at least ten or fifteen percent amber. And I would've thought that with the 11/13 light schedule, they'd be done by now. Today is what? Day 45? So we'll see. Like I said, im gonna take a really good look at them tonight, but if I'm not seeing any amber by day 49, I'll probably just err on the side of caution and chop them anyway. I have a decent amount of those seeds left, so I can always do it better next run. Hopefully....

Thanks bandt. The pheno that is finished in 9 weeks and has the best density, smell and resin is the one for me - it's awesome! Smallest buds out the 4 but they are still chunky enough. Typically it's the only one that didn't clone but I'm going to reveg her. But there is an argument to keep them all!

Probably similar to the one I found my last run
Quick finisher but damn that sativa head high is strong!
I know you switch to 11/13 for some of the sat dominant strains, I wanted to try that for my current silver mountain girls but since she's sharing a tent with sunshine daydream idk how it would effect that strain
Any experience ?

Funnily enough yes. On my last run I did 7 small ssdd and some amnesia haze on 11/13 from day 1 of flower. The amnesia came out incredibly well but the ssdd I felt wasn't as good as before. There may have been other factors effecting it though. Ive got my bbhp On 11/13 this run and I think 12/12 would suit it better too. My rule of thumb in general is only do 11/13 on 10 week + plants.

I just wanna chime in and say that I agree with @Limonene Just from what I've experienced with my current grow, I think that the yield on my Apollos is gonna suffer from using an 11/13 schedule. I'm not mad or anything, blazed a bud last night from a branch that snapped a few nights ago, no real dry, no cure at all and it was awfully fucking good. But yeah, I think next run I won't use 11/13 or maybe I'll switch to it for the last couple weeks of flower. Think I switched too soon this time (two weeks after the flip to 12/12).

The reason I used 11/13 was because I read an interview with DJ Short where he said that that particular photoperiod makes various phenotypical expressions very obvious. Probably should have considered the fact that the Apollos are f4s and would therefore exhibit little to no variation (they haven't, btw). Also should have considered that DJ is breeding and thus its kind of important for him to notice different phenos. Having said that, I'm also growing two of B's Goldstar f4s and they're growing very differently, so.... I dunno. But next run, I'm waiting until the last two weeks or so to switch to 11/13.
