Yes iv used it mate but only at transplant(shits expensive)to get the roots into the new soil quick.and boy does it.iv seen me potting a wee solo cup into tall 6ltre pot less than 24 hours later there was mega fuzzy bright white roots poking through the drainage holes and the TOP of the soil too!shit really does work.my problem with it is the price.u can probably get wads o the same stuff for a fraction of the cost. @SeaF0ur really knows his bennies and he was telling me u can make your own bennies that do the same thing cheaply and easily.he was saying(or this is the best i can remember and may not be accurate) u put a wee tupperware box with some small holes drilled in of boiled rice in a wee tupperware with a couple o holes in and covered with a pair o tights then bury it a wee bit down for x amount of time in a grassy area and wen u dig it up u can use the rice like myco or watever.
i dont think that was exactly wat he said but something along those lines.

I was disappointed the feel was spot on but the plot was non existent.

Myco is a fungus you should only need to use it once and in small quantities once infected the fungus will spread with the root growth.

Does it only affect the roots it has contact with ? For example in a repot should you dust all the roots you can see or will a spoonful in the medium your using to repot work ?

Basically it makes a bond between the root ball and fresh soil if the soilnis not already populated with micro herd. Or any other medium. You can look at Mycorrhiza as the extension of the root system, which actually works that way. It makes way for the roots in the medium and serves as a lubricant. It also makes sure that there's good exchange of sugars/nutrients between the rhizosphere and medium.

As long as you manage to infect all the rootzone all the new growth will have myco it will spread with the new growth.

Cloning in jiffy's, rockwool, root riots, etc make it easy I used to dip the jiffy's in water when rooted and roll them in myco powder and pot that in job done ;)

Myco increases the surface area of the root zone which is how it's able to extract more nutrition from the medium but in hydro (If you water daily/recirc) this has little affect as you are already feeding them in the zone and the plants simply do not need more. How much of an effect indoors with compost will you see it depends on your watering practices and are you organic or chem fed. Outdoors the stuff is shit hot it can turn a bad path of ground into a good one and significantly increase yields in areas of poor nutrition.

The other beneficials might have an effect I'm only considering Myco here.

I have Mycortex myco which quite a few grow shop myco products are rebranded Mycortex it has 20 different bacteria's and other shit lol as they say on the packs. Not sure how much difference I saw either way but my garden strawberry patch doubled it's yield! And once infected in strawberries it's for life ;)

If you reuse the medium within 3 weeks of harvest the Myco will still infect the entire medium! This will have much more of an affect than the first time. It's like a starter in beer brewing you can mix say 30% old with new if you want to turn over the old compost and get the same affect.

Having seen it now, I know exactly what you mean. They hinted at one and danced around it a little but, in the end, it just wasn't there.
It was alright though, I'll watch the next one. Maybe they'll make something happen with it.

On the little jar of this stuff I have here in front of me, and on others I've checked out too, it says: "It is best to create contact between the mycorrhizae and the plants roots opposed to simply mixing in the soil."

ha I won't use it yet then, I need my veg plants to slow down not speed up. The only tights i will bury in my garden will have a dead hooker inside them.
