Check your shoes, boys. Something smells like hypocritical troll shit in here....

Just for the record...since it will inevitably go to "Wahhhh...he's TROLLING ME"..... the first post I got after re-upping here (after being banned because this cum stain whined >I< was trolling him)...was

"Kolah is following you" I could only laugh.

Thankfully many of you have watched this play out and can see from the post above and the ABSENCE of me addressing this dick breath >anywhere< on this board (other than this one last time) exactly WHO is trolling who here.

Bottom line.....I bet he'd make a great renter, huh?

Like I said before..
it's kind of sad that this person cannot fully understand your situation...
Your love for your son is hard for him to comprehend because he has never felt such love...
The pain is deep and the love you have is still so strong, he probably has never experienced such a thing in his life and maybe that's why he says just get over it and that hurts you deeply as there is no getting over the loss of such love...Cannot comprehend at all.
I wish I had the words my friend to make you feel better but you know I am here for you as others are and we share your pain.
really warms my heart to see you and your wonderful soul mate living the dream and that I may have influenced you to do so.
it's ok not to be strong, this is YOUR life, and no one has the right to tell you how to feel or live..
they say the divorce rate gos way up after such a loss, but from what I see you both need each other now more than ever and doing what you are doing is the very best medicine there is...
Keep on keeping on Bro. make your son proud, it's ok to shed a tear now and again, just keep the light inside burning and love each other more than ever...
wow another coffee rant.......
Sometimes I even amaze myself...it all comes from somewhere above...

People like CM and Scoop, Muir and others who know who they are live life like I want to live life. I am proud of nearly every single person I have met here, but I have experienced disappointment when trolls be trolling.

There is nothing that is more cowardly than picking on someone during tough times. It is amazingly ignorant to judge someone you don't know based on a situation you are not fully aware of. 'Get over it' is a wonderfully ironic statement to make by such a piece of shit.

I am not going to pretend like I know all of the details, but I don't need to know the details, I know the men.

The internet allows cowards to hide behind their computer screens and lob insults from afar. There aren't many things that are more sad than an ignorant keyboard warrior. Somehow it seems unlikely that words like this would ever be said face-to-face.

The tragedy is the willingness of some to bury the hatchet combined with the willfull ignorance and refusal of ownership from others. It's easier for cowards to stay in the shadows than to come out and either apologize for explain themselves. I won't hold my breath.

I consider myself lucky to have met these Men. I guess I am a hypocrite as well, because there are some who I wouldn't piss on if they were on fire.

This wasn't the worst tenant that I have ever had but I am glad he is gone and won't rent to another grower. Sorry, but it is just to much of a liability.
So what if his behavior had been the total opposite? What if he paid his rent consistently on time, never got the cops called on the property, helped you pay for regular maintenance to the home, and actually left the property with a higher dollar value than before he rented it by taking pride in his home and making small improvements that most land lords like (flower beds, zero scaping, electrical panel expansion of course, etc) would your attitude towards renting to growers still be the same?

So how IS the rental situation in Ned these days, muir. Still a shit show? You spoke of getting out/heading SW for a bit...now I see you looking for a grower. Are you staying there and riding it out? A lot of this will go away as other states legalize and OK sales. (IMO) So will some of these massive profits/tax acquisitions the players are making now.

I know of a couple folks who have left the State and went to seek greener (more unregulated) pastures in CA and OR.... but bottom line is that there are more folks growing now than ever before. Some even think they have game. (as they grow in someone else's house...LOL)

Good luck all...

Houses go under contract in a day or so from being put on the market. Lots of landlords have cashed out and those rentals turned to owner occupied units. the Boulder'fication of Ned continues in price and attitude. Home prices and rents continue to soar. Crime is rising quick as RE prices. I'm sticking it out till my business gets on plane and can run it's self or I can sell out. We want better for the kids before they hit high school. The transient issue makes Ned look like a mash up of Pearl St and Colfax at times and honestly the place is not at all what I can to be around but the prospects for my business are great being in the proximity to such extravagant wealth as is in Boulder. Either way in 8 years when the last kid graduates we will have a new plan and that won't include Nederland or pot.

Yeah...the housing prices are pretty crazy and that same "quickness" of sale is happening across the state now. We sold that house you visited and did incredibly well. Best investment I ever made. I have another house to sell as well so we are jumping on it while things are insane. You know how it is.... the CO RE roller-coaster always offers huge ups and downs.

I hope the biz goes well. It's a tough gig out there these days. I'm back to growing strictly for personal use and remembering how much fun that can be. After all of those years hiding gardens in crawlspaces and closets and anywhere else they would fit it's taking a bit of time for me to get used to the fact I can grow these fuckers in the garden...out in the open air... like they are any other produce.

If ya wanna hang with the old folks yer always welcome down this way...LOL.

Ok....hmmm....don't really know how to put this gently so here is my take on renting to a grower. I have 4 rentals and have had for almost 20 years now. I have had all kinds of tenants both good and bad. And have been in houses that are rented with hundreds of plants in them. Landlords that I know usually charge 30% more in rent for someone who wants to grow in a rental.

Sorry, but the one time that a guy was growing in one of my rentals was enough for me. Being a slum lord as some put it is no fun. There is a lot more to it than just sitting around collecting rent. I won't even go into that but take my word it is a pain and as soon as I can I will dump them. Back to the guy that grew in my rental.....he trashed the place. Holes in walls, plumbing that was clogged and other tenants constantly complaining. Cops there all the time. Enough!!! Cost over 2 grand to get the place ready to rent again.

This wasn't the worst tenant that I have ever had but I am glad he is gone and won't rent to another grower. Sorry, but it is just to much of a liability.
Exactly the same here. And he was ostensibly a personal friend. TRASHED the house, absolutely trashed it.

And the attitude that people who put their asses on the line to actually OWN something and do something more are greedy and slumlords? Please, tell it to someone who isn't wise to that shit.
Mine would be diametrically opposed to the current position. But I'd have some questions, for example, the electric panel. Our grower-renter TRASHED it, made it quite dangerous and wouldn't have passed any inspections. So, legal and permitted changes done? Because it's the homeowner who's got to deal with the headaches associated if not.

I read this post a couple of hours ago and have given a lot of thought before posting.....First, Sea, thanks for chiming in. You have obviously been there done that.

With that said....SouperSmurph, you have obviously had a bad relationship with one or more landlords. You might want to look in the mirror for the problem. The fact is, to answer your question....the behavior wasn't the opposite and rarely is. But, since all I do is sit on my fat ass collecting rent, I doubt you will understand.

This guy didn't have permission to grow in the unit, he also had a dog and cat he didn't have permission to have without it being on the lease. He broke the lease 6 mo into a 1 yr lease and just left....EVERYTHING. I bet you have never had to clean a bathroom that has not been cleaned for months....try cleaning a toilet that has been shit in for months without anything cleaning what so ever. I had to scrub through layers of someones dried feces. Ever done that? He had used the spare bathtub to flush and the drain was plugged with medium. Plumber had to snake that. Had to replace sheet rock, carpet and paint the place. But remember, all I do is sit on my fat ass and collect rent.

It cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to build the place and all I want to do is keep it nice in order to attract a better quality of renter.

Bottom line is I am a good and fair landlord....I will treat you as y0u treat me. AND THEIR IS NO FUCKING WAY I WOULD EVER RENT TO YOU MR SMURPH!!!

I can't figure out why more people don't do this. As a landlord, if someone trashes your property and runs...you have legal recourse. It isn't even like a drug related moral dilemma...and lol at people being such flippant jackasses with their illegal dope growing. My interest was always in keeping the landlord and neighbors happy, what sort of dummy invites problems to their grow.

As a renter, I sure wish there was a way to distinguish me farting around in a 5x5 tent (plenty of room for your legal 6) vs. actual growing. Wife came home yesterday and was like "it smells like weed outside...is that us?" "Nope, its those asshats two doors down blowing up their basement."

pre 08-09 tons of people grew in rentals with little impact. Once Obama got into office the town was flooded with wannabes and they had no ties to the community, didn't contribute only took. Trashed houses. When you grew here in the past you ran into your landlord at the co-op, grocery or bar, it was pretty hard to escape the cops or an asswhipping when you didn't "do right", not anymore. Folks are turn and burn now and that has ruined it for anyone, even someone who wants a tent for head stash. Sad, a town that once was so accommodating now is fully antagonistic to growers.
