I do understand how some people have too many beans, that's why I'm looking for a select stash. I don't have a bean horde, I could easily pop everything I have and run it in a 20x20 so I'm looking to get some beans I can keep as stock for when I want to try something new and I'm looking for those things that really stood out in people's gardens either for potency, flavor, yield, grow ability really just what did you guys love seeing push out of the soil (or hydro)

And I say this because the beans I last bought I had many people talk shit about the breeder or this and that but to be honest they were my favorite plants I've grown but I talked to other people growing it or who had grown the strain and people that had ACTUALLY grown it shared my opinions. So again just looking for those plants that brought a big goofy smile to your face for one reason or another haha.

There's nothing finicky or spindly with the gg4 bro @RG420 any chance of some pics of your recent run with gg4 mate
I haven't seen anything but spindly plants from them, my cousin too. You can grow some beautiful looking buds but, I'm not blown away by the end results by any means.

I'm with you Spider lots of complaints were flyin about early in the GG craze about floppy feeble stems. The whole GG fad was based in part on the thrichome production. But overall out of the 4 guys I know personally that ran it, I never did bring it to my garden based on weak genetics from what I was seeing. Just my opinion, each to their own as always!!!
I'm really just not that impressed. Yeah, you can get some pretty looking stuff and get a decent buzz from it but, I've had a few random popped beans that gave me much more impressive stuff than the GG #4 over the last few years. To my way of thinking/my taste anyway. I really think I'm gonna let it go, the more I think about it the more I feel like I've already made up my mind.
I am kinda anxious to free up the space for popping beans and trying to find my own keepers too, I haven't been too impressed by any of the "elites" that I've had. (Other than the Sour Dubb.) To me they're not elites because to get top quality from a lot of them you have to do a lot of stuff with your grow to get them there. Some things I've had over the years you almost couldn't fuck them up, you can stay with minimal feed and a real simple soil mix and still have an amazing end result.
I want to find some more stuff like that, with the way I'm growing now compared to a while back I'd like to see how something like that would come out for me now.

Doesn't surprise me barneys vanilla kush is good he actually has a decent kush (mother?) I believe. Anyway kush crosses are the only good thing I've seen out of there in a while
The last things I ordered, (or will order), from Barney's Farm was Phat Fruity and 8-Ball Kush and they were both terrible. Really, just terrible. I've had three, (maybe four), packs of seeds in the time I've been growing that I consider the worst of everything I've had and those are two of them.
That was quite a while back now and at the time I was thinking that with as long as they had been around and the awards they've won, etc., that you probably couldn't go wrong with anything from them. Boy, have I learned my lesson on that one!

Yeah my personal opinion.

Is that I'm building up a personal stash of all the strains that are relative to my likes and wants. It will decide what the future of all my grows.

So when someone asks for a trade I can't bring myself to it cause I'd have to buy the strain that I traded again .

I'm always willing to add new genetix.

But am generally unwilling to remove them lol.
I was about to make a post and say the samething. It took time and scarifice at times to get certain seeds.

I bought up 10 packs of the South Fork kush to find that true OG. I already have an Ancient OG that is amazing, but looking to produce a stable F1 Kush strain. So I gotta find that right male to cross to my female Ancient, but I have high hopes for this cross. Best female I found in 15+ years of popping seeds.
