I'm a fan of silica. While I'm training my gals I noticed a difference in stem strength and thickness.

Usually it goes like this in a new grow.
Seedlings grow.

they get to the point of topping.

I let them grow after topping.

Top a 2nd time then go... why are these stems so weak?

Then I remember there's no silica yet added to the soil cause nutes haven't started yet.

Start adding silica and the new branching starts hardening off sooner. Existing branches thicken up and hold position better.

So far out of all my random bagseed I haven't had to stake up any plants.
They support their full weight during flower.

Just poking along. .. We start to get some growth by next week I think... I haven't seen no roots yet... Few more days I figure. Them roots are moving out to that drip ring then they will go down.......
It's definitely a better start on the autos this time compared to my first dwc attempt. . Was a Lil rocky is all I'm saying....

Not much happening lol.. I personally don't want to go thru seedling stage again lol
you and me both

I hate seedling stage

I LOVE!!!!!! clone stage
man when that clone pops roots and you stick it in its medium and veg for 5 days....and see roots popping out the bottom
and you know exactly what is comming

just makes me feel all warm inside

My Lil Sour Urkle's And Urkle's bitch.... both progressing along nicely... sips method= watering for dummies.... :)
Perfect for me!
I like the quick branching and the uniformity that the the Sour U has.. both the little ones is the Urkle's girl. ... started a week later along with the autos. .

So a Lil info on my autos...
Starting with fast and vast... by the way thus auto has no rudarellis. ..

GeneticsAfghani x Skunk x White Dwarf
Type80% Indica / 20% Sativa
Flowering Time8 WeeksHarvest8 Weeks From Germination
THC Content17-19%CBD Content0.80%
Yield600-800 g/m2
Height100-120cm
Taste Sweet, Spicy Undertones Effect Very Fast Effect, Long Lasting, Relaxing Stone
Grows Indoors/Outdoors

If you're looking for maximum yields and maximum potency in an autoflowering strain then look no further. Fast was the first hurdle for Heavyweight, taking a sturdy white dwarf and crossing it with an auto skunk that would reach its full potential in 7 careful weeks, and then the Vast came when further crossing with a powerful Afghani auto. Great care has been taken to ensure that the high yields are not at the expense of quality, the long thick buds covered in sparkling crystals produce a high quality soft and sweet smoke with spicy undertones. The effect is very fast and knock out, leading to a long relaxed stone.

Don't expect Fast and Vast to perform like any ordinary auto, for this is no ordinary auto, it's a Heavyweight Auto!

And the nl x bb info... 10 weeks instead of 8... :)

Genetics White Widow x Big Bud x Ruderalis
Flowering Time 8 Weeks
Harvest 10 Weeks
Yield Very High
Height 80-90cm
Smell fruity, Skunky
Effect Relaxing
Grows Indoors/Outdoors

Female Auto White Widow x Big Bud Autoflowering Feminised Seeds Info

Time has finally come to have an automatic flowering version of our world best seller White Widow x Big Bud.

Enormous buds which start off with an open structure and then fill out completely from bottom to top.

A fruity, skunky aroma with a relaxant effect and full of flavour

def DOES have ruderalis.....White dwarf
is " two indicas of unknown origin crossed to a ruderalis"
then crossed to lowryder and backcrossed to whitedwarf original mother
so that is your ruderalis

hope they come out pretty cool

looks like you are chugging along

I'm glad I didn't have to be the one to shit in your punchbowl...lol

Ya I somehow skipped over where it said auto and I was thinking dwarfs weren't technically a auto.
I had seen now where they have autos now that veg 25 days then automatically flower, going 90 days total. .. allowing for topping, and other growing techniques and bigger harvests...

well some autos have a lot less "auto in them which allows for much larger harvest and much longer grow time
serious autos stay super small and finish fast...like 60 days and like 12-14" tall
this autos sucked
the newer ones look much more promising
White Dwarf I think they called because it is a short indica type but they never disclose the lineage as if white dwarf is a known plant
had to go to my strain database for that one

hahahahaha and no I wasn't try to rain on the parade sorry

Oh no lol!!! U didn't rain on my parade.. Heyyyyyy Wisher.... I could lose every plant I had, and the sun would still shine.. You have gave me enough knowledge that my destiny is my own decision..
As with the autos, the reason I was even looking at that info, lol, I was trying to decide if I might top the autos!!!! I know the arguments about it. I know the risks! I also know that everybody here wants to see what would happen. But at the expense of a crop??
So just watching roots, looking at lineage, watching growth, figure that If I was gonna top, I need to do it day 23.. but I need to see what kind of branching I have started, so as to know if topping would stall out. I've seen plants respond different to topping 8 know age and roots, other foliage make a big difference, I also believe the maturity of your lower shoots growth to continue growing when it's topped is key.. is their first true set of leaves on the branch at ALL lower nodes? Yes.. excellent for topping. ..imo... weedolgy

don't quote me! Cause I ain't said shit!
TWO SHORT #1988
Lol

My other option is and the one that I think I'm gonna employ....
Is bowl training like I did that last auto I had, but I think I'm gonna try using the squeeze technique on the main stem...
