i think i get it.

cup, water, seeds.. they will float for first 24 hours, then next 24 hours a tap root should start to show, dump water onto paper towels.. put paper towel with seed back into empty cup.

is the paper towel needed/ cant go from cup to soil?

Ok, touch of pneumonia, but fine besides that. Got the auto into her permanent pot, can't get pic to upload. But she just started to get roots out the bottom of the pot I sprouted her in. The others in the bloom room still going like wildfire! Sticky as flypaper lol. They got tea today so I hope I can get good pics tomorrow.
Besides that everything is the same.

Hey Chris. Try just putting a seed in a half cup of water. It will float for about 24 hr? then it will sink to the bottom. In another 24 hr? if you look close there will be a tap root now. Take that and carefully put it just below the surface. A little water on top of that newly planted seed and your good. Put that under your light and in a few days you have the start of something beautiful. I recently started doing it this way and so far have had 100% success. I only just started doing this though... so it could go down to 99%! :)

The way stiff neck just broke down is 100% for me as well.no don't think the paper towel is necessary but go with what works for you bro

good morning bro, yeah. also this will make it easier for me. with my dry humid.

just open paper towel bad idea here.. need that plastic bag to keep moisture in and shit.. but i did not let these seeds dry out just had to add alot of water i found.. and when i would sleep id hope id wake to no dry towel.. which i have not.

its really dry climate heh.

so the glass makes most sense at this point for my environment. so it will float for 24, then sink, then tap root should be showing with 3 days correct/

The way I germinate is a moist coffee filter placed into a sandwich baggie left in zip locked. And put in a warm dark place to taproot.

Then When I have a little root sticking out I plant in a solo cup of ocean forest about 1/4 inch below the soil with the root pointing up. And gently cover over with soil.

A good viable seed always taps in 24 to 36 hours. I check to re moisten filter after about a day.
