Thanks a lot!. I am just doing a small 8x16 bed. Yours are looking great man!

Today was a good day. We got all teenage plants instead of clones for the same price. Stoked ;). My my employee and I transplanted 400 green cracks into the three gallon pots today. We picked up the two blackout tarps and ten bags of pro mix from the grow store to help create a lighter soil mix to transplant into. We also planted 100 thc bombs into the three Gallo pots. We hooked up the lights all the way down and covered it for the night to keep it a little warmer. My back fucking hurts.

Couple questions if you dont mind.....

What size PVC and rebar did you use? 3/4 pvc 20' long? Rebar?

Why do you plant so many plants? Do you find a quicker harvest than vegging bigger plants? Does the cost of clones come into play? I have always flowered somewhat larger plants in my deps. Where I have 30 plants, you would have around 100.

great work mendo cant wait to see what you produce this year.

i have a question for u guys, how many full term plants would you grow in 4 100 gallon pots in a 8x12 area?

i was thinking 2 plants per pot would be ok. not going to have 10 footers but maybe like 7-8

If your saying your total area is 8x12 not per plant, I personally would only put one plant per 100 gallon pot. With one or two the end yield will be close to the same. With two they will fight for light and nutrients and have more smaller buds. Your yield may be just a tad more with two. A lot more trimming at the end.

@Bulldog420 i use 1 inch pvc. It gives it a little more strength that makes it easier to pull the tarps. We also try to make the ends of the hoops super strong by doubling up the pvc on both ends and adding a couple more pieces that arch over. We used 20 feet pieces of rebar and they cut them down into 2.5 foot pieces. It was cheaper this way then buying the already cut pieces in the store.

We use so many plants because I don't have an indoor veg space and it was to much work to put the plants out in the super cold winter we had. Last year we had really good success when we packed in the plants for the first round. The mid summer round we will be able to plant teens into the beds directly and veg them without any supplemental light and they will give much bigger. That plus the weather makes the second round get much bigger and easier to veg.

Depends on your skill level. The general idea is that the better the grower you are you can achieve the same yield with less plants. But if your just learning and you only put one or two plants in and they have a problem you might end up getting nothing. I would think that doing 6 30 gallon pots would give you a great chance at pulling some decent numbers and if one or two of the plants struggle u still have 4 others. Mites and powder are generally what can screw over beginners and pros as well for that matter

Lol mendogiantz is still running from me tho.
I think he is ignoring your stupid rants and trying to pull him into a useless arguement.

@MendoGiantZ I'm no beginner that's for sure but I still have a lot to learn. I've just never grown in 100 gallon pots. I plan on growing a different strain in each pot which is why I was thinking 2 per. Also the 100 gallon pots are already purchased so that's what I'll be growing in, not going to change the pot size this year.

What type of fastener are you using to attach the pipe clamps to the pvc?

If you find the hoop moves to much or you have difficulty pulling the tarp, I always put 2 2x4s on the ends and screwed into the PVC. If u do that, don't forget to to tape screw heads so they don't rip the tarp. Anyways man looking killer!! Happy Growing

That's a good idea. Gonna do something similar in the next day or so.

We just use tiny screws that are self tapping. On the top support bar that runs all the way down we drilled a small hole in the middle as wel and put a screw to keep it from sliding back and forth

We got all the clones transplanted into the three gallon pots with Mykos on the roots. We mixed the old dirt with pro mix. Pro mix is a really light airy mix we thought would help the little starts get a jump on things in the colder weather. We hung all the light and have been covering the hoop houses around 8 pm and turning the lights on all night. We uncover them around 8 in the morning. It's been super muddy and pulling gross muddy tarps in the dark isn't exactly fun but we do what we have to :$.
