wondering how old are you all?
Am 61.I feel I was born at just the right time. Have seen and done a hell of a lot.
We climbed the great pyramid once in Egypt tripping balls on orange sunshine acid on a full moon watched the sunrise...
Traveled the world, skied all over the world.
Made many friends..
Grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and was lucky to be in on the music scene there
Have had a great life despite being alcoholic, many ups and downs 16 years now, not a drop, would not change a thing ..
Pretty amazing how things worked out for me...
My dream of sobriety, living in the country, finding someone who loved me and made me find who I really am is just unbelievable.
I get goose bumps and look in wonder at the place right outside my back door that at the minute I discovered this place it became my higher power and reason for living sober from alcohol.
I still have issues but the misery, shame, loss of control are gone...
11 months will somewhat retire, fish as much as possible, love and take care of wife..
The best is yet to come in my own little world of joy of living I have created, let the rest fight it out...
Will leave you with this....

my pen is loaded now i must try to walk. hah i walked for hours last night in my depressed state and my feet are so sore.. i need walking shoes not flip flops for nights like that. anyhow here i go.. fuck it..

Was at Winterland that night.
This band has been my guiding light thur the dark times and the good times..
My friend Terry Haggerty on guitar is simply amazing.
Back in the day during the break the back stage smoke out was insane.
They are from Marin County Ca. and were well known for having the very best weed.
Would be 4 or 5 huge joints being passed around for about an hour..
Terry is absolutely one of the best growers and the kindest man.
had been 15 plus years since we saw each other.
he rejoined the band for one show had to go. booked airline ticket, hotel but show sold out.
Terry heard about my request for ticket on FB and put me on guest list.
Upon greeting he was so happy I could make it introduced me to his wife who also warmly hugged me I was like WOW
Wait till min 1.50 or so and you will see what I mean about THE Hag on guitar...
Too much coffee..again all wound up!! LOL/

I am 57 tomorrow, still have a spark of fire in my soul. I respect this world we were given stewardship of. I love to garden, grow flowers, vegetables.
Your life sounds like a dream , you are a lucky man to have so much, and to live in what looks to be " God's country" !
You must be doing something right to be so blessed with your abundance !

Amazing story chickenman, I grow to keep the dark days away, I still am haunted with them. Sins of my youth, lol!
I lost so much, gave up, and one day the darkest of my life I decided I was ready to go " home" I was never so cold in my life, the cops knocked on my door, my Doctor alerted them. They were kind, caring, and they spent time must talking to me. They pulled me up long enough to keep going.
